It is perhaps more late afternoon (and on the Atlantic Ocean particularly) but I quite like Heeley's Sel Marin. It has a clear whiff of algae and a beech leaf topnote that totally transports me to the sea. My only complaint is that the topnote disseminates quickly, but even so, the heart you're left with is lovely. I bought this for my teenage son--to wean him away from noxious smells like Abercombie and Fitch--but stole it back. Gorgeous unisex, wearable anywhere/any time, soft and subtle. I wore it last week in the snows of Utah and people were turning in the street with noses lifted. Really, truly oceanic.

Loving perfume on the Internet since 2000
