Georgia O'Keefe, Yellow Jonquils
Earthy, meringue-like clouds of waxy notes
gleam in the golden rays.
Sleepy, their pendulous heads nod in the sun,
drinking in the recent rain.
Somber, grey clouds scuttle off, leaving the glorious
Vetiver and grasses wafting in their wake.

Lemons blaze, hotter than the white heat on the green grass.
Sleepy, wafts of tangerine and juicy neroli, roll by.
It's time for a walk in the sunny garden.
Dreaming in the daze of warmth,
yellow striped butterflies prance with audacity.
Bold; they know they are marked as "dangerous".

Proud, perfect plum blossom perky and prim,
glows with oriental spices;
cardomom anchors the sultry cloud
as it hovers in the trees.
Red; the color of happiness,
luck and all good life forces,
rushes forth as it fills my heart.
The rich scent is redolent;
representative of an ancient civilization
