Went to NYC. It was rainy, so a bit miserable. We were gonna take the ferry, but its caused us some headaches in the past so we decided to drive right in. Usually my stepdad, who grew up in Staten Island, will go with us since he knows how to do everything. He doesn't really LIKE going, but he will to help us out. We decided to go without him this time, so it was just us. I was the driver.
The driving itself was intense, especially when we got close to Times Square. People honking
Welp, I got try them all out now! Acqua di Sale is somewhat of a disappointment. Normally that'd be a bad thing, but considering it's $240 for a bottle, I'm quite happy that I don't like it. It's meant to evoke the feeling of the ocean, but it more or less smells sickly and much like something you'd use to clean a floor with. Maybe with a bit of a lime skittle note. Definitely not for me. From my last sample haul, I got a sample of Sel Marin which I feel is FAR more successful. Not only that, it's
As I went through purchasing my samples on Luckyscent (for my upcoming birthday), I wondered: why do we like the fragrances we do? Welp, I was at Sephora (like always), and my friend Heather wanted a couple samples. I know many members on here always say that all fragrances are pretty much unisex, but I still wasn't sure I wanted to try anything out. I figured Sephora would only really have mainstream sugary florals, and nothing else. Yeah, well, I was wrong. What did they have? The Aqua Allegoria line. Unfortunately they only had a tester for Figue Iris and Mandarine Basilic, but being able to try any of them was great. Figue
Well I've got 2 100ml and 1 50ml bottles of By Man, after deciding I do indeed LOVE it. I've been enjoying Guerlain's SDV quite a bit. QUITE a bit. Definitely the best vanilla frag I've tried yet. Out of all the samples I've received, Costume National 21 is still a definite winner. May be a purchase soon enough! Though unfortunately, due to my logic of getting By Man versus any other fragrance, I've had to give up my purchase of L'instant de Guerlain Extreme. I was really hoping to get it for the
