Two years after the creation of his women's fragrance, Issey Miyake launched his men's cologne, L'Eau D'Issey Pour Homme. Reflecting the principles of his women's scent, it embodies yin and yang, and the extreme polarities of the world. L'Eau D'Issey Pour Homme cologne is a fresh yet warm, woody scent accented with spicy notes. Created in 1993, L'eau D'Issey by Issey Miyake is the result of the following top notes: juniper, bergamot and lavender. The middle notes are: sage, coriander and freesia and the base of the fragrance is: sandalwood, moss and cedar. Issey Miyake is recommended for casual use.

 Distinct, alluring, but try before you buy... August 3, 2008

Like many others I bought this cologne based on the reviews here and some other websites. Let me start out by saying that I honestly was disappointed when I first sprayed it on because for the first 20 minutes or so, all I noticed was the the overpowering citrus "lemon pledge" smell other reviewers have talked about (upon reading the box, I noticed it was because one of the ingredients was citronella oil). But after a while, the mosquito repellent smell faded and started to blend into a refreshing, almost imperceptible watery scent. The same scent/sensation you'd getting from sitting next to a fountain while getting a breeze from an orange grove in the distance. The cologne also lasts quite a while, which is good (I've noticed it on a shirt that I wore a few days prior).
I had a girl let me know what she thought of it the first day I used it because she came closer to smell me about four times then smiled and said she liked what I was wearing! (I've personally received more compliments for the other cologne I wear: Image by Cerutti, but I haven't really worn the Miyake out, yet)
I knocked off a star simply because I don't think this fragrance is for everyone. Many may not enjoy the complex, almost confused fragrance, especially if it doesn't work with your natural body chemistry. It would be a somewhat expensive mistake if it didn't. I'm also not a huge fan of citrusy colognes. It seems better suited for those in their mid-30's or younger (or some stylish 40-year-olds! :P ). Altogether a very original, complex, light and refreshing fragrance that maintains masculinity and has staying power and will be positively noticed (if it works for you). A must try!

I've been wearing Issey for about six years now. One thing I love about this scent is that not many know about it (unlike, say, Ralph or Calvin, Issey is not a household name). And unless you want to smell like 10 other guys at the bar, this is a good thing. Actually, the only reason I ever came across it was because of a recommendation from my fashionable female cousin.
The scent is quite strong, so 2 sprays will last you the whole night. Being such a strong scent, I also do not recommend L'eau D'issey for the office.

I can't say that this many women have ever agreed to smell me at one time in my whole life. The scent is magical. It actually makes me happy to wear it. My car smells sexy, and women notice when I walk by. It doesn't take much, either. Just a dab.
If you want to smell great, buy it.

This is my boyfriend's "signature scent", and when he goes out of town I'll douse one of his shirts in it just so I can keep smelling the stuff...it's intoxicating! I've noticed that even men will come up to him sniffing and ask what he's wearing (actually, that's how HE discovered it!). I've also noticed that the smell is enough to attract the attention of other ladies, despite me clinging to his arm when we're out together.
Guys, if you want to impress the girls then this is most definitely the scent to buy. I simply CAN NOT GET ENOUGH OF IT!

This product is a supperior product! I use this stuff every week and many people comment on how good I smell.
People notice me more now that I have an attractive smell.
