Alexander McQueen (b. Lee McQueen, 1969, London) began his fashion career at 16 as an apprentice in Savile Row tailors Anderson and Shepherd. After working at Koji Tatsuno and Romeo Gigli, McQueen took over from John Galiano as Givenchy's head designer where he stayed until 2001. McQueen's first fragrance was launched in 2003. McQueen died in 2010.
