Signed copies of Chandler Burr's book up for grabs
by Grant Osborne, 01 December 2007
Thanks to the kind folks at Henry Holt, we have three signed copies to give away of the latest book by New York Times' perfume critic, Chandler Burr. The Perfect Scent tracks the evolution of two perfumes from concept to multi-million dollar launches. The book begins in Paris with Hermès' Jean-Claude Ellena, and the creation of Jardin sur le Nil. Ellena’s quest for inspiration takes him to the Nile itself, with a film crew, scribes, and Hermés executives, as he transforms the scent of an abstract idea into a bestselling bottle of perfume.
How can you win? Well, Basenotes will be interviewing Chandler Burr when the book is launched - but you are asking the questions... Send in your questions for Chandler to askchandler@basenotes.net - we will pick our favourites and pass them on to Mr Burr. Three entrants will win a signed copy of The Perfect Scent. (Closing date 15th December 2007 - rules).
