• Stella McCartney's L.I.L.Y launches next week in Selfridges

    Stella McCartney's latest fragrance, L.I.L.Y, is due to launch in Selfridges next week. McCartney says of the fragrance name - “It makes me think of my Mum. Her nickname from my Dad was L.I.L.Y, Linda I love you.”

    The scent was created by perfumer, Jacques Cavallier, who also worked on the original Stella fragrance. Cavallier says “Stella wanted a fragrance that redefined the extremely natural and fresh image of lily of the valley. To create more depth, we infused it with notes of truffle from the Perigord region of France, adding a diffuse, caressing texture.”. Notes include truffle, lily of the valley and oakmoss.

    In the UK L.I.L.Y launches exclusively at Selfridges on 26th January 2012 and will be available nationwide 15th February 2012. Available as 30ml, 50ml and 75ml Eau de parfum; Body Cream and Shower Gel

      Don't like the brand... and the name + bottle give off a vibe of somthing I usually avoid. But this sounds really interesting. And the sentiment is wounderful

      As a huge devotée of Stella the original fragrance, I'm really excited about trying this, too. I agree with Zimatar's comment about how lovely the inspiration is behind this creation. I wonder if this new Stella perfume will be as light and airy and FRESH as the original Stella? Lily of the valley ... hmmmm ... apart from Diorissimo, I don't know of any scents with this as the base. Really looking forward to this.

      This is really a lovely Floral/Green fragance without the usual feline urine note that accompanies most Muguets...it is very fresh, warm and lasted over 24 hours on my particular skin. I want to position it as a Gucci Envy but rounder.
