I find the whole Jo Malone brand to be the most hyped up, overpriced range on the market. Again and again I've tried their fragrances, everything from the cloying, cheap smelling Lime, Basil & Mandarin to sickly sweet Pomegranate Noir. I don't know why people pay around £60 for a bottle of something which essentially smells like furniture polish or fabric softener. It is such a con. Ignore the classy bottles and fancy schmancy packaging and focus purely on the smell. I'm sure you'll agree with me.

I fully agree with you; am the same; have tried liking Jo Malone scents but I really can`t...they all seem to have a lemony start and then a linear anonymous course of fruits/spices or both...am afraid I am not impressed...

Jo herself is no longer associated with the Jo Malone line, not for several years at least. She has a new venture called Jo Loves but they are not marketed in the USA yet.

I smelled a decanted sample of Plum Blossom at the JM counter last month -- one tiny spritz, not enough to really evaluate it-- but even so, it didn't do anything for me. No big surprise there; very few fruity florals work for me. However, I will try it again soon from the actual tester.

I am quite happy with the 2012 release White Lilac & Rhubarb. My husband likes Lime Basil & Mandarin, as do I. To each his own.
