• Parlux to take over Kenneth Cole fragrance license

On January 1st, Parlux will take over the fragrance license for Kenneth Cole, which is currently held by Coty. Michael DeVirgilio, president of licensing and international at Kenneth Cole told trade magazine, WWD, that Parlux was "perfect partner to develop a new scent direction and their strength in the international fragrance market further supports our strategic marketing initiatives"

Kenneth Cole's fragrance license started life as part of a now defunct division of Givenchy called "American Designer Fragrances". The division also held licenses for Michael Kors (now with Lauder), and Marc Jacobs (now with Coty).

Kenneth Cole doesn't take enough creativity risks IMO, but props on the new deal.
