  • PLEASE NOTE : This all looks a lot, but to submit a fragrance the only required fields are name, house and gender.

    • Name
      • This should be the current name of the fragrance. It should include all proper accents.

      • All words in the name should be capitalised apart from the following (when not the first letter)
        • for / pour
        • the / le / la / l'

      • If the fragrance is known by two different names in different territories then they should both be written with a slash between the two. The fragrance named first should be the name of the fragrance in its 'home' territory, eg: (home territory refers to the country that the house that launched the fragrance is based in)
        • French Lover / Bois d'Orage

      • If the fragrance is known by translated versions of the same name, then the fragrance named first should be the one in the language of the fragrances 'home' territory, eg:
        • Morrocan Rose / Rose du Maroc

      • An exception to the above is where the 'for men / for women' part is translated. As an example,
        • Dune for Men
        • Dune pour Homme
In these cases choose the English one. If English isn't an option, pick the 'home' country of the fragrance.

      • If a fragrance has been previously known by another name, the most recent name should go first:
        • Armani Code / Black Code

    • House

      • This should be the current house of the fragrance. If the fragrance has been previously produced by another company, this can be added in the notes. You can currently only add new fragrances where we have the house listed in the database.

    • Year
      • This is the year that the fragrance was first commercially available.

    • Notes
      • Please enter the fragrance notes of the scent. There are three boxes, the top box is for top notes, the middle for middle notes and the last for base notes

      • If the notes aren't given in top/middle/base notes structure, put all the notes in the top box

      • Notes should be separated by commas, eg: parsley, sage, rosemary, thyme. Do not use an 'and' before the last note.

      • Please remove any superlatives given to the note by PR companies, eg: Sexy Patchouli, Lush Lavender. However keep any words that describe the type or geographic location of the ingredient, eg: Mysore Sandalwood, White Musk

    • Perfumer Information
      • If the company / person is not listed, please mention it in the Additional Information box

    • Packaging Information
      • If the company / person is not listed, please mention it in the Additional Information box. If it is unknown what part of the bottle/packaging that the person / company contributed, please choose the 'packaging (general)' option.

    • Status Information
      • Please only mark a fragrance as discontinued unless it is from an official source. A fragrance is only marked as discontinued, if it is discontinued worldwide.

    • Description
      • This needs to be a non-biased piece of text about the fragrance. More about the background to the fragrance than necessarily how it smells. It should preferably be 'timeless' so that it doesn't need rewriting every week.

    • Additional Information and Sources
      • Please add any additional info (if any), and sources for the information provided
