  1. Oh... everything is back.
  2. Thanks . and Thanks to your seniority at basenotes which has enalbled me to see your message as my inbox has been flushed/ formatted by the web development team of Basenotes.

I dont know why they do these things rather than enhancing the scalability of website ... I would not even open the site of base notes if some seasoned reviewers are not here. Do you write any where else kaern? Fragrantica, Now smell this or what ever...
  3. Its really very difficult for a fragrance to stay/ sustain especially in hot / humid weather , the dwellers of London cant even imagine the intensity of tempreture here in Karachi.

Nothing works, especially the so called fresh Aqva Pour Homme , Isse miyake,Eau Armani, Cool Water, Acqua Di Gio(i consider it as detergent) blah blah.

I will try Eau de Gaurlian if its available here.

    GMK.
  4. Yes, Baldessarini is a really nice fragrance -- I can't imagine anyone objecting to it really. I am pretty much addicted to fragrances as well, but I really do get a benefit from them -- for instance, yesterday it was pretty hot in London and I was wearing Eau de Guerlain and it just shimmered off of me all day -- really refreshing. Also, if you stay clear of the huge department stores where they are only really interested in selling you something/anything (I'm not blaming them) -- there are some really nice people involved in the industry. The sense of tase and smell is very strong and important in humans so I treat perfumers as creative artists who can bend your mind occasionally.

  5. Thanks. I agree that "tastes in perfumes are very subjective " but am also of the considered opinion that perfume is not a private thing it may, even it does involve so many people arround you. One of my friend has allurgy he cant stay in the premesis where he smells any fragrance but today i wore hugo boss baldessari and he was saying what are u wearing , i want this..... ...

I dont know how but as time passes i am getting addicted of fragrances regardless of any tangible benefit or praise. any way a master is a master and i consider you so. by the way i bought Baldessarini after reading your review.

    kindest regards.
    GMK.

  7. I don't mind at all, G.M.K. although tastes in perfumes are very subjective -- I mean, you may really like 'Starwalker' by Mont Blanc. You should just go for fragrances that you personally like. I'll try and give you a steer though as and when, if needed.
    Best....

  8. Thank you so much for replying Kaern , I just signed in after a month or so and saw 1 notification that was yours. thanks a lot again.

will you mind if i use to request (once in a blue moon) you for reviewing a fragrance when i am confused?

    regards.

    G M K.
  9. Thanks G.M.K. -- Glad you like the reviews
Out of the 3 fragrances I prefer Gucci #1 and wore on and off for about a month -- you will have to like the smell of pencil shavings though, as the resemblance is remarkable. Gucci #2, I wasn't keen on --- the violet notes were quite strong and persistent but the wood notes are ok. I actually find it hard to comment on Starwalker as it is so atrocious -- you will literally have a 'wide circle of friends' if you wear this.
    Cheers
