Conversation Between cedriceccentric and Ms Rochambeau

  1. Hi There!
I'm laughing to myself because I totally agree with you on Elizabeth Taylor's "Passion" being a really exceptional celebrity scent. I avoid celebrity scents like the plague and would never have even tried it if a friend hadn't found a tiny 4 ml bottle of pure parfum in his basement and gave it to me. I put it on one morning figuring "ahhh-what the heck?" and was smacked in the face by it's beauty and complexity. Until I tried it, I figured it would be just like every other cheap smelling fruity floral celebrity scent, especially since the packaging is so bad (I suspect this is part of what has kept other people from giving it a try). The drydown is subtley beautiful and evocative of vintage chypres. This is a gem hidden in plain sight and I'm glad I found it...or it found me, rather.
