Fragrance Review: Diptyque Eau de Lavande

Eau de Lavande
Eau de Lavande has a beautiful, beautiful herbaceous top note that soon resolves into a smooth, rich lavender-centered accord, one which emphasizes the central note’s bittersweet, caramel-like facets. The lavender accord persists, largely unaccompanied and linear, for three or four hours before trailing off into a barely detectable and indistinct woody drydown.
Ultimately this is a nice straightforward lavender: not the kind of fleshed out composition you’ll find in, say, Caron pour un Homme, but pleasant and satisfying on its own simple terms.
