Glad-to-be-Back Ramble

Just wanted to say how nice it is to be back on Basenotes after taking a break for awhile. It's not that circumstances really warranted any absence on my part, but once in awhile I "fall out" and come back. I suspect that I'm not the only person who does this. I actually do this with a lot of my other hobbies, leaving them for awhile and picking back up from time to time. I have too many hobbies/interests to engage in all of them or any number of them at once. I sort of rotate them unless I'm doing some major project. Not to mention responsibilties like school and work, but I won't even go there!

I finished my B.A. degree in psychology in May and have just started my master's in mental health counseling. My boyfriend and I just moved in together, to a new town, and a new school. I've started a new job working at Macy's, which I like for the most part. So I'm adjusting. I find that it helps to engage in familiar activities as I attempt to adjust to a new and challenging environment. I'm out of my comfort zone for the first time in awhile. It feels good but is overwhelming at times.

I look forward to getting reacquainted with you and am excited to be back! I haven't written any reviews in awhile, so I feel a "review spree" coming on.

I also promised a couple of folks freebies quite awhile ago and still haven't sent them; I feel terrible about it. I haven't forgotten and cannot wait to send them out. I will feel a lot better then. I like to be honest and true to my word, so I have felt pretty disappointed about this. It's been a combination of busy-ness, broke-ness, and simple procrastination. I apologize if any of you folks are reading this. Surely you will get them before Christmas!

Take care and thanks for reading.

See ya!

I can relate to having a number of hobbies and sometimes getting burned out from them. Within the past few years I have transitioned from working in an office 9 to 5 position to pursuing my heart held aspirations, one of which is perfumes, specifically perfume oils. I love perfume oils. I look forward to connecting and sharing experiences of the perfume industry.
