What does being invisible mean?

Basenotes Plus Members can choose to make themselves invisible via their User Control Panel. This means that your name will not appear in the 'Who is online' section at the foot of the main page.

How do I become a Basenotes Plus Member?

You can purchase a Basenotes Plus Subscription by going to your Settings and clicking on Paid Subscriptions.

You can choose to pay yearly or buy a two year subscription.

How do I cancel Basenotes Plus Membership

To cancel your Basenotes Plus Membership you will need to log in to your Paypal account. Once you have logged in, click on the History tab and search for subscriptions. Once you have found the Basenotes Subscription, you will be able to cancel it from there. If you still have problems, contact us using the link at the foot of the page and we should be able to cancel it for you. Please provide us with the following information. * Your username * The email address you used for your Paypal account * The date that you subscription is usually taken (if known)

How can I disable and enable ads on the forum

Go to the Edit Options page in your control panel.

Scroll to the bottom to Misc Options and you can choose to Show Ads or not

How do I get a Wardrobe Icon to appear in my forum posts?

It's a little complicated at present, but here are the instructions

  1. Go to the old Wardrobe Settings Page
  2. Scroll down to the section that says 'Wardrobe Icon'
  3. Choose which icon you want to have
  4. Press 'Save Wardrobe Settings
  5. The next screen will say 'soon', but ignore this!

Search FAQ

Select this option if you would like your search to look in the text of FAQ items as well as their titles.

Select an option here to specify how you would like your search query to be treated. 'Any words' will return the most numerous but possibly least relevant results, while 'Complete phrase' will return only results that contain exactly what you are searching for.
