Himalaya by Creed
After many visits to Neiman Marcus sampling many different Creeds, this was my first Creed purchase. It was down to Himalaya, SMW, and Imperial Millesime. In the end, it was the warmer notes of Himalaya that won out ... very happy with my purchase! I get a lot more out of Creeds than I do many of the more mainstream department store fragrances.

Terre d'Hermès by Hermès
A truly unique scent IMO -- very well described in posts below. You have to try this at least twice before you draw any conclusions as it is surprisingly different from many of the other fragrances on the counter. Good longetivity on me and the ladies seem to like it. TdH is part of my permanent collection.

Green Irish Tweed by Creed
GIT is, I think for many, an "acquired taste," especially to those not familiar with Creed. To mirror Ruggles comments below, the first time I tried GIT I didn't like it. It was the first Creed I ever tried and it did smell very Green with an almost vinegary smell that reminded me a lot of Cool Water. I have since come to know Creed fragrances through Imperial Milesime, SMW and Himalaya and I have now also come to appreciate the accords that run through these products. Now I can proudly say GIT is a wonderful, manly expression of these accords and makes for a great addition to my wardrobe. GIT is so much more than Cool Water, although I certainly understand the similarity. While Cool Water gets stale and fades away, GIT continues to give me hours of wonderful smells ... longetivity is quite good.

Vetiver by Guerlain
A genuine classic which definitely still has a place in any guy's wardrobe. Fresh, invigorating and citrusy turning to a peppery, very masculine, base. If you are tired of smelling the latest slightly sweet, fruity, powdery, etc., etc. designer fragrence, return to this classic scent from one of the worlds great houses. To paraphrase another poster, be a man -- get a bottle!

H.M. by Hanae Mori
The EDT and EDP smell decidedly different to me side by side, with the EDP having a sweeter cherry smell and the EDT having a more sweet citrus smell that is lighter; that might account for some of the varying opinions on the product. Both change to a smooth vanilla by mid-afternoon with still a hint of cherry in the EDP, although a deep whiff will still pick up some spiciness.
The EDP might have a place at night for those that own it, but I enjoy wearing my EDT during the day and I have received a number of compliments from the ladies (always a consideration!).
