This is one of the few fragrances I have found work with my body chemistry.
I have been wanting to try this for about 15 yrs now, since catching it's scent on one of my clients.
Somehow I thought it might just be too much like Cinnabar to bother.
It wasn't.

The most surprising thing I have found about AE is that even tho I am NOT fond of the smell of roses at all....the opening notes of rose are very powdery and don't stay long before morphing to a more clean, yet seductive aura. Mmmmm... I do like it on me ...and so does my hubby.

I do very well with Cinnabar, Obsession, Allure Sensuelle, Black Cashmere, and now Aromatics Elixir.

I tried several of the Luten scents and just cannot wear them.
They all come off as cheap Wizard air deodorizer on me.
So overwhelming that I got a headache and nausea like I do with Poison.

I just don't seem to be able to do any of the Serge Lutens.
They all seem to be cheap room deodorizer from application to drydown.

I could barely wear it long enough to even get to drydown without being a little nauseous.

It's as bad as Dior's Poison....same nausea, different scent.
Oh my gawd, I scrubbed till I was almost raw and could still detect it.

Gimme my Cinnabar and Obsession and other lovely orientals until I find something else that I can tolerate.

I'm looking!

Cheap bathroom deodorizer. ARG!

I waited, alternately gasping for air and heaving with nausea, hoping it would get better.
The dry down was something out of Glade or Wizard!

Took hot bath immediately and scrubbed till it was gone.

I so WANTED to love Black Cashmere, but at the dry-down, the final notes overpowered me. It was a muted Tabu. Not good.

I loved the smokiness tho..darn it!!

Well I just got a sm btl of Theorema on ebay, and on me it smells just like Black Cashmere minus the offensive and loud notes at the final dry-down of Black Cashmere

I am a oriental, spicy lover. Hubby likes Obsession on me, but Cinnabar has been my signature scent since 1978.

Fendi, Theorema looks as tho it will kick Cinnabar to the back of the line for a bi...at least until I get to know it. So far...lovely. I'm pleased.
