Geir by Geir Ness
I get cold air, semi-green, semi-floral, and almost-sweet: it has an ambiguous vibe of "purity" that's fresh and clear. At times it's almost crystalline, which I also get from aldehyde-based scents (which could explain the Channel Allure Sport similarity noted in other reviews).
Lasts a good 8 hours on me and I have to be careful when applying: too much and it can be overpowering. The spray mechanism mists in a very wide angle, making it hard to direct sometimes, but you can always just unscrew the top and apply more exactingly as a splash (I wish more bottles were like this).
This is an ideal all-purpose scent for me. I feel I could wear it any time of the year, on any occasion (work included), and still feel confident about it.

L'Air du Desert Marocain by Tauer
Nice spice/citrus opening (I don't get much, if any, cumin) wrapped in bone dry cedar (astoundingly dry). The complex drydown through the labdanum/jasmine to the vetiver and amber is remarkably balanced. Monster longevity, Goldilocks sillage (juuuust right) make this unique, serene, mesmerizing fragrance one of my top 5.

Bulgari pour Homme Extreme by Bulgari
Papa like.
Here I am 5 hours after my first wrist spray, thinking, it had a nice grapefruit and lemon opening but wow, here it is later, musky and oakmoss, so close to my skin.
I say subtle, clean, green, close, classy.
A keeper.

Carven Homme by Carven
Warm, rich, and a bit heavy on me but the rosewood-cinnamon-vanilla-cedar dry down is simply delicious. I would only wear this indoors with a *very* light application and it seems more suited to cooler days than summer heat.

Desire for a Man by Alfred Dunhill
Very nice apple/lime opening and drys down on my skin to a pleasant vanilla-tinted musk. I also seem to keep just a hint of the opening scents for quite a while, making this quite a unique scent for me. I don't use more than a couple of sprays but it seems to last almost the whole day. The first time I wore it out my wife said "mmm ... fruity" and since then she's told me she really likes it. I'm glad she likes it because I've found that I'm wearing it just for me, because *I* like it :)
