Un Jardin sur le Nil by Hermès

I have always gone against the grain and I seem to like things others don't. This fragrance does start off smelling like you rubbed orange zest all over while, but I promise when it wears down it is fabulous. Before purcasing it I got a sample and wore it everyday for 3-5 days just to make sure I could live with the $125 purchase. As it wears down the other notes that are exposed gives the fragrance a whole other dimension. It winds down to a very low scent which to me makes it an all day everyday scent.

I have tried to give this fragrance a chance off and on for two years now. I just cannot get over how mature it smells. The woman who suggested it to me must have been in her 60's and she was quite sophisticated so I took her word for it. Although, I believe fragrances are ageless it just seems like something I wont be able to pull of for another 10-20yrs. I do however think it is quite expensive smelling and should be worn in the evening.
