Rosewood by Banana Republic
Smells just like my nootka rose bushes watered on a hot summer's evening. Delightful. I would love a more masculine rendition.

Rumeur (new) by Lanvin
The new Rumeur was composed by Francis Kurkdjian, who contributed to Gaultier's Le Male and Narciso Rodriguez For Her. Rumeur is a very floral, fruity, dry chypre. I've found Kurkdjian's other scents easier to pull off in a variety of settings, but Rumeur is very attire and occasion specific.
Upon first spraying, I noted pear and magnolia. Others have said the sillage is poor, however I've found it to be quite potent, even after bathing. In short, a little goes a long way. It's a welcome departure from many of the movie star florals and bubble gums that have flooded the market recently.
Rumeur does tend to give me a bit of a nauseous feeling after a while. It entices a strange hunger that turns into a headache. I've experienced this with some other modern chypres. I recommend obtaining a vial before purchasing this for yourself.
