    Castaña by Cloon Keen Atelier

Top Notes: Red Pepper, Cardamom and Bergamot
Heart Notes: Burnt Chestnut, Cassie and Jasmine
Base Notes: Haitin Vetiver, Tonka and Woods
Castana is a mélange of sweet nectars infused with sumptuous heart notes and a sensual blend of spicy vetyver , aromatic woods, and the creaminess of Tonka.
The best vetyver scent I have ever smell so far, with a great projection and longevity.

Boss Orange Man by Hugo Boss

I agree with all the negative comments, this is disgusting synthetic, horrendous, revolting, repellent, repulsive, nauseating crap, I can’t believe is for sale!!! Stay away for your own safety.

Memoir Man is a reformulated version of Arpège by Lanvin but washed down. This is boring and lineal, no worth the money.

    Divine by Divine

I ‘ve been using Bleu from a perfumer not listed here in Basenotes for many years without knowing Divine perfume smells exactly the same. Divine perfume is a Floral Poudré: opens with Heliotrope, Star anise and carnation and from there settles down into a warm Lavender,Tonka ,vanilla.I can’t see the comparison with Chloe or Ysatis.

Sa Majesté la Rose by Serge Lutens Les Salons du Palais Royal Shiseido

Rose is a rose is a rose is a rose. Is this a 21st Century interpretation of a rose scent? This is an interpretation of a Bathroom Spray Toilet Deodorizer. Smells like a rose with an aquatic accord. I am missing here the surroundings of the rose, the green leaves, the earth, the sky; roses are for passion, for lustful nights, for 3somes;roses are toxic, red blood, pink moon, white satin and black Sabbath; roses are for champagne with strawberries. Thumbs down. This is just a repetition of a repetition of a repetition…

Le Mâle by Jean Paul Gaultier

Smells like glass cleaner and the bottle design is like G.I. Joe with arms and legs amputated in a tomato can. And the new Le Male Terrible is a copy of Versace's The Dreamer.

    Kiehl's Original Musk by Kiehl's

Repulsively synthetic and tediously lineal. This is shameless interpretation of dark musk. If you already know the smell of real dark Indian Musk oil then you know what I am talking about. Don’t waste your money and buy the real stuff.

The opening reminds me Un Jardin sur le Nil by Hermès and the dry down is very alike L'occitane Honey & Lemon bor more floral.

Masterpiece and one of my first loves,Elengant and sensual ,a must for any parfum lover. I love the old plastic bottle in dark blue and white. I have still a bottle from 1995 and smells as good as the first day.

    Balenciaga Paris by Balenciaga

I don't understand the bad reviews about Balenciaga's Paris.I am just back from sampling a dozen women perfumes for Mother's day and B.P. was the most exquisite and original of all of them; wonderful green citrus herbal opening and settles down in a Chypre Violet where I smell also rose, mimosa, and orris. It feels so elegant and balance that I will eventually buy it for myself as a summer fragrance. The parking and perfume bottle are elegant and well designed. I see some similarities with Miss Dior.

    Lavanda Inglesa by Gal

Actually this is still in production an easily to find in many websites specialized in Barber products. Don’t be rip off on Ebay. This is a very fresh herbal Lavender cologne, nice splash in the morning or just to perfume your handkerchief, pillow or lingerie. Only worth if you are Spanish searching for childhood memories.

Sol / Sun by Ramon Molvizar

    Pyramid
    Lemon. Ginger Bergamot
    Rose Orchid, lotus, white Jasmine
    Musky exotic woods, Sugar cane

The opening citrus feels aquatic .The transition blends into a very subtle floral heart with jasmine an rose notes, very sensual and milky and finally the exotic wood and the sugar cane settles down very discreet, but the jasmine is still there. Sol feels like a day by the sea, warm, and smooth, sweat and feminine. Sol is the Goodness of fertility, aphrodisiac; you can’t escape to her charm, an outstanding and relaxing fragrance for a hot summer day.
The bottle design is just the state of art in luxury with 22 Kt Gold like a snow glass ball and inside an beautiful mahogany box. You are buying a work of art.

Le Baiser du Dragon by Cartier

This is another masterpiece from Spanish perfumer Alberto Morillas and for some reason he is not credited as the perfumer of this fragance. It feels very evocative, nostalgic and complex. I feel like being in the Lantern Festival in Taiwan in an spiritual aura of love ascending in the darkest night to the sky.

    Halston Z-14 by Halston

I really wanted to like this but I think honestly this is a terrible mess from the beginning to the end. I find hard to imagine Halston did not modified the formula after. The opening is an herbal blast of alcohol and the dry down is fruit rouges labdanum and cinnamon but it feels there is too much of everything in there. I get headache every time I use it. Jack Daniels with Fanta Lemon, that's all.

    Halston Z by Halston

One of the worse fragrances ever made; green, soggy and soapy that’s all, made with bad ingredients and no imagination to create something simple but elegant. Your floor cleaner like AJAX smells a thousand times better.

    Agua Brava by Antonio Puig

A fresh masculine cologne, herbaceous, woody, with a spicy sexy dry down, so well balance and very Mediterranean, a truly 60’s classic and one of the few fragrances who tested the pass of time .How many fragrances made in 68 are still in production?. Also masterfully designed by Spanish industrial designer, lecturer and writer André Ricard .

parfums*PARFUMS Series 6 Synthetic: Tar by Comme des Garçons

Life is so paradoxical. When you think asphalt causes cancer and people buys a fragrance emulating that synthetic smell. Surrealistic! But I have to say I love it, Series 6 Synthetic is strong, pungent, and rubbery with a timeless dry down that reminds me a dark shampoo. It should be renamed as Civilization or Asphalt Jungle.

    Palazzo by Fendi

It reminds me a scent from Des Filles á la Vanille called J'ai rendez vous avec l'amour. It opens like a bonbon with mimosa and anis notes and settles down with freesia flowers, honey and orange. The freesia is quite dominant and pungent in the dry down. Very feminine fragrance, use with moderation.
