Vetiver by Guerlain

Initially invigorating very fresh top notes, but for me the tobbacco note on the drydown is just a bit too remeniscent of full ashtrays. Monsieur Rochas is far more subtle when i need an air of dignified maturity that better suits my increasing years.

Worth pour Homme by Worth

Fabulous frargrance. I discovered this when it was first launched and always believed it was a well kept secret. Unpretentious and inexpensive, great for everyday and not that widely used, i'm frequently asked what it is, and my only reservation is that i thought the original atomiser packaging contained a slightly better formulation.

Caron Pour Un Homme by Caron

Foul, absolutely nauseating choking vanilla. Perhaps i've bought a "knock off" but this just smells of buckets of cheap ice cream. Disgusting.

Paco Rabanne pour Homme by Paco Rabanne

Good on me. top notes are powerful and lasting. Great value, only best to apply lightly. Often attracts admiring comments widely used, probably not for those seeking something rare or individual.

Monsieur Rochas by Rochas

Wonderful, unobtrusive on me, mild and subtle. Great "old git" scent, paisley dressing gowns. white shirts and prim bow ties. Refined, slightly aloof and faintly aristocratic. Does not raise eyebrows! Quite safe on any occasion, a true classic with absolutely no "shouty" notes.
