Terre d'Hermès by Hermès

The most-complimented fragrance I own so far.
(Not that I own that many, but I'm gathering more slowly.)
I like everything about it, and that's the name of that tune!
I play in several bands, and while I mostly get good reviews from women, this frag is so great that one drummer even commented on it!
He was a little embarrassed to admit it, but I think he will be purchasing it soon!
Wish I could rate it two thumbs up!

Arpège pour Homme by Lanvin

I like this frag very much, pepper and anise with vanilla and woods. It shares aspects of many other fragrances I am fond of: Lolita, Brit, Envy, Gucci Homme I, etc... It's sweet, but not too icky. (Of course, I like Opium EDP, so I am tolerant of syrupy scents) I can see why people think it's kinda feminine because the woods are submerged in sugar, but light application is key to balancing the sweet and spicy. I bought this with shower gel and aftershave balm, and layering makes this frag explode!

Lolita Lempicka Au Masculin by Lolita Lempicka

I love this fragrance!!! It is perhaps my favorite, although I am relatively new to fragrances. It is strong and provocative. I find the anise note soothing and my girlfriend finds it very attractive. This fragrance started me towards gourmands and sweet orientals, and away from watery "blue" frags. It could be too sweet for some, I guess you either love it or hate it, and I LOVE IT!!!!! (Can't you put up more than one thumb? We've got FOUR of 'em up over here on this side of the screen!)

Prada Amber pour Homme by Prada

I am confused, but pleased by this fragrance. It is soapy and gentle, with no real amber scent to it. I really prefer stronger scents, but Prada has a unique staying power. It is very linear, getting to its powdery soapy note very quickly, then it STAYS. The fragrance is VERY soft but it stays at this low intensity for a long time. It is a great room frag, I sprayed some and left for work. Ten hours later, it was still in my room, with the exact same intensity. It could be your grandmother's face powder, or your grandfather's shaving soap, but it is very interesting, although more of a curiosity than a heavy rotation fragrance.

Hei by Alfred Sung

Pleasant, light, refreshing. Hei is very subtle, and close to the skin. Definitely a hot weather fragrance, best worn when half-naked, as wearing it under a shirt could snuff the gentle flowery notes right out! My first re-introduction to fragrance, I liked the watery top notes, but I understand why so many pan it. If only it was not so subtle, it would be much better.

Giorgio for Men by Giorgio Beverly Hills

A girlfriend got this for me back in the late 80's. She loved it, I was frightened by it. VERY powerful!
