Blu Notte by Bulgari
I adore this one, I am a fan of Bvlgari overall (have the Vert, the Rouge, Black) because they are something a bit "different" than the usual and I tend to prefer something "distinct" rather than floral or fruity.
I do get the vodka, most definitely, and it really does bring in that watery & clean vibe to the scent overall. It dries down to something slightly powdery - but not overally so as I really cannot stand powdery fragrances and I can DEFINITELY enjoy this - and somehow rich (but not sweet) with a bite of dark chocolate.
And I certainly don't fit in the previous description of: "superficial, common, bar hopping, giggly, gets-along-great-with-everybody yet has never known true friendship..."!! Yikes, far from it!
I think it does take a certain person to wear it, but I think more of "sexy & confident" wrapped up in a warm blanket of "intelligent, fun and mature"...

Brit Red by Burberry
I adore this one, I just bought it recently when I spotted it at the drugstore (and was pleased to find out it was also on sale AND came with a nice little duffel bag as a promotion-deal).
It just seems to fit the holiday season perfectly - and the spicy gingerbread and sweeter rhubarb note just work nicely on me....I start getting visions of sugarplums dancing in my head :)
Light enough for me to wear in daytime, but also enough uniqueness to it to wear at those more casual holiday parties & events.
I hope this is a "Special Edition" that lasts for a long time...or else I will be stocking up on more bottles (or asking for someone to put them in my stocking!).

L by Lolita Lempicka
I find it interesting..at first. Loved the cinnamon and spiciness I had off the bat. And then within a few minutes I just got vanilla, vanilla, vanilla which persisted and persisted (at least it is long lasting!) - and I did apply it with a delicate tough!
Great if you really adore vanilla as it is a wonderful vanilla smell in itself, but not for me - just reminds me of when I was a teenager and wore the vanilla Body Shop oil so it feels too young for me.
I was disappointed as I LOVE the original Lolita Lempicka and the complexity of it and wear it frequently; but for sweet/gourmand I prefer Angel over this due to the more complex spicy-chocolate-caramel-vanilla.
I would of felt different I think if I got more of the musk or other notes to add more complexity.

Angel by Thierry Mugler
With Angel, the initial impression is a very spicy kick to it…the patchouli is initially very strong and I was a bit worried as while I like patchouli – I prefer it to be more mellow as patchouli itself just does not “suit” me so well! I was pleasantly surprised where after that initial kick (which quickly dissipated) I entered into a very rich, warm chocolate-caramel-vanilla flavour with that underlying patchouli kick to keep it from being cloyingly sweet for me (though I still am tempted to chew on my wrist. I can’t help but feel immediately toasty and warm putting it on – and even while I was shovelling in the -30 C temperatures the other day the occasional scent that drifted up from the depths of my winter coat to my nose warmed my insides.
For the record, I HATED the smell of it in the store when I initially put it on – it did have a very musty, mouldy smell to it but once it was on my skin and began to blend with my chemistry it turned into something quite amazing. I went back a couple hours later to buy it.
My only vice is the bottle that is really kind of annoying in that it cannot stand up; and it’s not exactly cheap particularly on a budget. It does however go a LONG way as you should really only use a little dab and I don’t use it as my everyday fragrance.
I don't smell it very often around here, so I don't feel like I am one of the crowd!

Lolita Lempicka by Lolita Lempicka
I definitely do not get the “sickly sweet” scent from this; or even the overpowering of anise – for me it is a bit “in your face” initially with the licorice but it mellows into a delicate, soft scent with enough uniqueness from the anise to keep it actually interesting. The first time I tried it I had the original Lolita Lempicka on one wrist, and the new “L” on the other and I could not appreciate the original much since I felt overpowered by the “L” – which I did not like as it really turns to a rather synthetic smelling vanilla on me and is simply too much. Once I was just able to savour the original Lolita on it’s own – I was in heaven I have Angel too, and I can say that in no way does this seem at all similar to Angel at least on me. With Angel, I get a very rich, warm chocolate-caramel-vanilla flavour with that underlying patchouli kick (I almost want to eat myself up!) whereas with the Lolita I have this very soft, warm intriguing smell – I find it very complex and that is why I like it!
And of course, the bottle is amazing.
