I tried this and Fumerie Turque at Barneys today. When it first went on, it reminded me of the liquid soap that we used in our grammer school bathroom. After a loooong dry down (over 45 minutes), the soap disappeared leaving me wearing a saddle on my arm. Mixed with the Fumerie Turque, it is incredible.

I tried this at Barneys and immediately got a whiff of Messe d Minuit mixed with smoke. Lots of honey and vanilla. After the dry down I am getting smoke and more smoke. When mixed with Spanish Leather by Truefitt & Hill, it makes for a most incredible scent.

I have to agree with phibess - "I would like Avignon much more if it didn't smell exactly like instant cola drink I remember."

I want to like it because I burn church incense at home for the smell, but Avignon smells like cola 'Pop Rocks' on me. I bought the gift set of 5 so am hoping that the others smell better.

YUM! I fell in love with Messe de Minuit and Palais Jamais at a store in Las Vegas. Never heard of ETRO before seeing these. PJ is leather in front of a smoky fireplace on a cold night. Pure high class luxury in a bottle. I don't get the tea, or anything green. It's not too light; not too heavy - just right!

I wish ETRO had a sampler!

Starts with pure honey and dries down to sweet incense. It is very, very light and I was hoping that "PARFUMS Series 3 Incense: Avignon" would be better. No such luck with Avignon smelling like Pop Rocks on me. So I just need to use a few more sprays of MdM when I wear it.

I bought Etro Messe de Minuit and Palais Jamais in Las Vegas after sampling them for a couple of days. I haven't had much luck finding a good sandalwood, but since these ETRO products were so luscious on me, I figured that other Etro products would be compatible with me as well.

I was right and ETRO sandalwood is my new best friend. Lots and lots of beautiful Sandal. It's to die for!

PS: It's strong, so use sparingly!
