| | Cool Water by DavidoffA first sniff of Cool Water reveals an indescribable scent beautifully combining the freshness of peppermint, rosemary and orange blossoms with the warmth of lavender, jasmine and sandalwood. The scent tickles my senses like no other. The top of the scent carries a distinguished crispy feeling that only gets crispier and louder as the scent develops. Cool Water soon reveals it's fresh but buttery warm core and fresh crispy sparkling adornments. Notes of amber and musk are faintly detected. This stage remains for the coming six hours and the development of the notes is perfectly orchestrated like a symphony. After seven hours Cool Water softens it's sharp edges and slowly moves the buttery feel to the background and bring it's fresh comforting quality to the foreground. All that remains in the dry down is a magnificent warm freshness that resembles a relaxing summer evening. 22nd March, 2010. |
| | Musc Ravageur by Editions de Parfums Frederic MalleThree days ago I picked up a sample of Musc Ravaguer from Skin Cosmetics in Amsterdam. The very same day I wore the fragrance to properly review it for myself. My first sniff of MR reminded me of...... medicine; a very sweet and sexy medicine! I applied one spray on each wrist first. I took another big sniff from my wrist and was amazed by the richness of the smell. In the opening MR is warm and relaxing. I just couldn't stop sniffing my wrists. At last I applied one spray in my neck. As I leave the store I couldn't help but notice there was already a cloud of dark sweetness floating around me. MR sticks to my body like some kind of freaky aura! 6th April, 2009. (Last Edited: 22nd March, 2010.) |
