    Eau de Cartier by Cartier

I initially liked its light, subtle smell, but regret buying it because it has absolutely minimal staying power (on me, at least).

    Enjoy by Jean Patou

Well, although when I first tried it on my skin, it was OK, I really regret having bought it. It literally gave me a headache, a cloying smell and way too synthetic for my taste.

C'est La Vie by Christian Lacroix

I used to own this back in the early 90's and I absolutely loved it. Granted, heavy and sweet but in an original way. I recently found a 7ml miniature bottle for sale on line and decide to buy. Apparently, my tastes are different now, but getting a sniff of my early 20's was very touching.

    Aqua Allegoria Lemon-Fresca by Guerlain

I bought it because I liked the initial lemon scent. It smelled very fresh and light and I thought it would be good as a "non-fragrance" summer fragrance. To my disappointment, there is nothing left to smell even a few minutes later. And I mean nothing! A waste of money, in my opinion.

    Bulgari Black by Bulgari

I used to be a big fan of Bulgari colognes a few years back. I got this one from an uncle of mine, who received it as a gift and thought it was way too heavy. Well, I tried it and I must say I quite like it. I mostly smell the vanilla, nothing too special, but wuite alright if you like sweet smells. not much staying power, though

    Aqua Allegoria Herba-Fresca by Guerlain

I bought it when it first came out and In absolutely adored it! It was a unique fragrance, like freshly cut grass and mint. The greenest smell possible. As of late I have to consider it rather cloying, but this may just be that the bottle is getting old. I still have to give it thumbs up!

    Champs-Elysées by Guerlain

I "inherited" a bottle of the EdT from my late mother. There is indeed a creamy quality about it. I agree that it lasts for hours and hours - even after 24 hrs the basenotes are clearly there - and that it creates a feeling of euphoria. Everytime I smell it, I am flooded with feelings of tenderness and joy - maybe it just has to do with my mother, though.

    Paris by Yves Saint Laurent

I primarily like Paris for its amazing staying power. I'm amazed that everyone talks about its floral quality. It smells like incense on my skin, but I still like it.

    GFF F by Gianfranco Ferré

I ordered this one without trying it, because I thought the description sounded interesting. My first impression was that it was heavy and kind of "obnoxious". However, I have come to really like it. Somehow the original smell on my skin has changed and now I think it is very feminine and sexy and quite unusual. Better as an evening smell in my opinion. Great price, too!

    Jolie Madame by Pierre Balmain

I ordered Jolie Madame without having tried it based on the reviews I read here, as I was looking for something classic and, maybe different from the sweet vanilla smells that are so in fashion nowadays. Unfortunately, I was bitterly disappointed. All I could smell in it was tobacco, which reminded me of the "Imperial Leather" soap that my dad loves. Hedious! I gave it to a 60-year-old, elegant, blond lady and she loved it. So, yes, good for the Hitchcock Blonde.
