Quorum by Antonio Puig

Took my mom shopping and she wanted to get my dad a cologne so we ended up at Perfumania at the mall and after smelling 20+ different scents she decided this was her favorite. It's a nice, masculine smell that doesn't have any weird, out of place notes like some can have. Some of the other reviews said it was "in your face" but I don't think that at all. My mom picked it over some more expensive ones like D&G for men and Polo Explorer, which I like, but she didn't care for that much.
So if you're looking for a nice, older man, but not "old guy" scent that's inexpensive this would be a good one to try.

Aspen for Women by Coty

Had a friend in high school who wore this and I thought it smelled great. Not sure what's in it but it's a great, inexpensive, everyday scent. My mom likes to wear it now and I think it smells as good on her as it did my friend.

A*Men / Angel Men by Thierry Mugler

I enjoy my bottle of Youth Dew Amber Nude since it makes me smell yummy so I decided my husband needed to smell yummy too. Because of Basenotes advanced search I was able to find just what I was looking for for him.
YDAN has notes of patchouli and chocolate which I just love so using the advance search I put those notes in to see what was available in men's colognes and A*Men came up. My daughter and I then went to the mall to check it out. We decided we liked it and bought some and brought it home. I unfortunately made the mistake of having my husband try it on right before we went to bed though and found it hard to fall asleep because the scent made me hungry.
This is a dangerous cologne - do not wear around women you do not want licking you like your mother or aunts. My husband will from this day on have a bottle of this along with a list of rules as to where and when he can wear it!

Platinum Égoïste by Chanel

My mother-in-law and I both enjoy Chanel women's scents so when I decided my husband needed a cologne (he'd never owned any before) I naturally headed for the Chanel counter at Belks. This is a good everyday kinda scent for a guy, sexy and smooth but not intimidating or overwhelming. I love the sage, treemoss combination which is kinda heady but then there's the vetiver to ground it.
Whether or not I'll get him another bottle when he's gone through this one I'm not sure, I can't say I'm in love with it and there's so many other colognes out there, but I do like it and would recommend it to someone looking for a nice scent that's not too homely or aggressive.

Youth Dew Amber Nude by Estée Lauder

Got this a few months ago from my mother-in-law, a friend had given it to her along with the body lotion but she didn't like it. At first I wasn't sure but I put some on and then the whole way from Knoxville to Asheville in the car I kept smelling something yummy and realized, "Hey, it's me - I smell yummy!" So though it doesn't have a special place in my heart like Coco does I find it enjoyable to the point that I use the body lotion just about every day. Something about smelly "yummy" really appeals to me.

Coco by Chanel

The first time I smelled Coco I was living in New Orleans and I knew immediately I wanted a bottle. I was poor but not deterred, my first bottle was a small .13oz bottle I found at a Kmart that I used sparingly not knowing when I could afford more. Later a guy I was dating bought me some of the body lotion and then later my husband got me some of the body spray. I also now own a larger bottle of Coco though I still have my very first itty, bitty bottle that I bought so many years ago.
