Gardenia by Santa Maria Novella
I have also found it difficult to find a good Gardenia but now have a decant at last of Santa Maria Novella's. I agree it is green, green, green and I think the gardenia is good. I am quite intrigued with this but need to try it again a few more times
before I can decide...it is unusual for me to be doubtful. It entices me no end but I am a little suspicious of a note there in the middle to drydown....
does anyone have the notes for this one. I would be so pleased to know !.

Ombre Rose L'Original by Jean-Charles Brosseau
Calchic has put it beautifully, above.
I agree that Ombre Rose has much which is characteristic with Gueurlain's style and It could be mistaken for one of theirs.
This is a magical scent and now and again I can get a sort of Mitsouko touch with the opening peach with the aldehydes.
She may be like some others which many of us love, but for me she still stands alone and distinct, not very much spoken of sadly, as she deserves plenty of acclaim. The bottle is perfect for the wonder fragrance contained within.

Coriandre by Jean Couturier
Love at first couple of dabs on the skin.Coriander of course...but much more.., Green and fresh...Just my sort of fragrance. It gets prettier as it goes to the drydown and I would be happy to have it in the air around me anytime. Smoothy creamy green with my beloved sandalwood in there too.

No. 22 by Chanel
First trial as I write of this Chanel 22 in EDT. Perfectly melded tiers of notes bring me coolness and green pungent, florals are soft but not so light to ignore and the drydown seems a natural progression to dryness and country woods with a vintage touch.
I really am impressed with this and feel it sits quite well in the modern arena and must appeal to young and old and the men too of course.
It is I think one of a kind. More unusual of the Chanels !

Tabu by Dana
I tried Tabu once again after having avoided it for decades....after all I am aware how many do love it and we do change and develop tastes over time.
It is still to me, really something I can not wear. Associations with the hippy era predodminate and I find it loud, unsubtle and rough.

Je Reviens by Worth
I did not know this fragrance years ago when it was "about" and have only discovered it in EDT very lately. I find it lovely but almost too soft.
I need to try EDP or P when I can find it.
It is going to be one of my favourites
after all this time. Very Lovely.
