    Tabu by Dana

Who needs Opium or Youth Dew when you can have Tabu? More ambery, rounder, softer then Opium, more complex, less pungent than Youth Dew... I love thr smell of tobacco leaves and overipe fruits in it. And the incense... it's so mysterious! Dont' wear it with heels and lipstick!
I wear it with 501, my seventies vintage shearling coat and frye boots... it's not an hooker's scent, it's not a lady's scent, it's a real hippie scent!

    Nombre Noir by Shiseido

Nombre noir: the nights of wine and roses, and precious wood. Gothic and nocturnal, yet clear and sophisticated.
Sadly discontinued, I treasure my bottle of eau de parfum I managed to find last summer in France.
    A gem of a fragrance!

    VU by Ted Lapidus

I'm surprised I'm the first to review this old glory! Vu was introduced in 1975, and I remember it was very popular in Italy and in France in the late seventies-early eighties. I was really too young to wear it then, but I remember it was my older sister's scent. Today, I found an old bottle of it in a perfume store in Rome. It's a leathery chipre, similar to things like La Nuit or Perfume de peau, but sweeter, and honestly a tad more... ordinary. Still, it's got a lot of caracter, it's really a disco-era scent, and I'm so glad I have now a chance to wear it!
