 | Acier Aluminium by CreedFirst I thought it was too early to write my review for Acier Aluminium, this is my first time trying it. I should give it a few chances, right? Wrong! I don't think I will ever want to smell it again. Too powerful, too powdery, like a kind of smell you get when you're on a overcrowded public bus, the air is stuffy, everybody is sweating and the person closest to you is reeking the smell of cheap-perfumed body talcum, yuck! Sickly sweet and cloying smell lingers in my nose forever after I washed it off. And I don't surprise to learned that many people associate AA with clean toilet smell. Oh, another thing came to my mind was the towelette you get after finished a meal in the Chinese restaurant, heavily perfumed, enough to mask the food odor. 22nd July, 2009. |

| | Vanille Mokha / Vanille Café by Comptoir Sud PacifiqueTo me, Vanille Mokha is my favorite among CSP's vanilla line. It smells very yummy. The creamy-sweetness of vanilla together with devine aroma of coffee, I'm in heaven! I'd always on the fence with vanilla note, never a big fan for gourmand scent but this one sound too good to pass so I bought it. Just adore this gem! Such a mood lifter for me. | | Barbier des Isles by Comptoir Sud PacifiqueBefore I try it I thought it would be a light, fresh a little spicy woody-aromatic scent, judged by its notes. I'm fooled! This one is so thick and heavy and dull you almost can cut it with a knife! Where is the orange, where is my favorite bergamot? all I can smell was incense and some burnt spices. Oh and a hint of vetiver too but in this case it did not help freshen up this fragrance. I have never found CSP's scent I don't like but this is the one! | | Burberry for Women by BurberryAnother headache inducing fragrance for me. It seem to be a popular choice around here in Asia, so I give it a try. Bad pick for a Sunday night testing as I gotta work tomorrow and right now I feel so dizzy. The opening of heady, sickly sweet notes hit me like a ton of bricks. Then comes something green and bitter, so bitter I still can feel it in my mouth. I don't recall if I have smelled this on a person. It's just not for me. 18th January, 2009. |
