I don't have the experience of a Colin Maillard or a Darvant to adequately describe the notes, etc. in this, the most addictive, I find, of the UNUM offerings. Something cold, metallic, sour, incense-laden definitely dominates here. Something ultimately spiritual, something intimately meditative surrounds one here. Outstanding! The new black bottles, with their stark modernity seem works of art themselves. Awesome ultimate package here.
Got this upon hearing of its availability on the 'Twisted Lily' site. Got a sample first, and was blown away enough to get a bottle. This is truly an incredible offering from one of the greatest, most lauded new houses out there. The longevity and sillage is top-notch, lasting into the evening with 5 sprays in the morning (I'm a bit heavy-handed, but enjoy being aware of it on myself). Just superb! I get a ton of dusty lavender incense from start to finish...warm, inviting, meditative, brooding, an awesome, creeping monster lurking like your shadow returning to haunt! Bravo Unum! A word on the packaging: incredibly bold box and wrapping! Totally lived up to its hype with one exception: the bottle itself didn't fit within the inside of the box! It sort of floated loosely inside the incredibly modern all-black box and packaging; sort of a 'what the?'...feeling! I emailed UNUM about it, and heard back from the artistic director himself! He was incredibly nice, but I think my point was lost in Italian/English translation! Anyway, an incredible offering! Bravo!
I'm reminded of baby-wipes somehow while wearing this! I wore it yesterday and sat at lunch, feeling very ladylike as I ate my lunch. I had heard of its greatness in all its reviewers words, and had to have a go at it. It's strong enough, but not masculine enough for me. Anyway, had a sample, dabbled it on, went out for lunch prepared to make my next Unum purchase, but alas, can't give it a thumbs-down, but can't wear it, so a neutral one it is. It never evolved into a darker, more settled wear.
I've worn frags with musk in them without realizing what Musk as an isolated ingredient is like, or how powerful a note it really is! On my first wearing, I was expecting a strong animal/barnyard funk, but I got a pretty light ck one feel?! Upon further investigation and consultation, I found that: 1. Musk is in the basenotes of ck one (what BPC's Musk reminds me of)), 2. On Twisted Lily's website, (where I purchased mine), someone had commented that it smells "funky," like "dirty bathroom," etc. Then I looked up the word in the dictionary: "a substance produced by a gland in the male musk deer and used as an ingredient in perfumes." Company's (Brooklyn Perfume Company) website states that people are repelled, yet can't seem to tear themselves away from a second sniff, etc. I guess I would say all this is true, and it keeps me repeatedly sniffing my forearms. I'm not sure that other people are noticing or not, but it's addictive! I would sum it up by saying what it is, is a urine-like smell, that is oddly NOT a urine note! Lighter, yet stronger...I'm not sure of the right description, but addictive nonetheless! The perfumer, James Peterson, says that most perfumers have lost touch with fragrances that contained it in the 60's, and that most "musks" aren't musks at all! Anyway, a great intro. to BPC and to Twisted Lily! I have since purchased BPC's "Oud" as well! Excellent stuff, guys!
Wasn't sure what to expect from this second 'Male' scent in the Replica line. I loved 'Jazz Club,' their first, which was a sillage monster for the first couple hours; I assumed this one would be as well, but I find, as Marais did, re-application helps bring this very modern treatment of masculinity back to life. I love the lavender and basil(?) and the blending of it all into quite an addictive melange. I wish the bottle was more portable so I could more easily re-apply! My favorite fragrances are ones that have solid projection, ones that I'm aware of wearing, and are with me for many hours. I wore this for the first time at work today and felt it was with me for a majority of my day.
Absolutely evocative of a smoky/boozy red-leather-upholstered club/lounge with the horns blowing dreamily...I imagine clearly that this is what one would smell both IN the club, as well as LIKE when you arrive home that evening. I sprayed this on in the car after picking it up and...wow, almost overwhelming! This is a long-lasting powerhouse that has you in the club at the bar next to a guy munching and puffing a discreet, cupped, leaf-wrapped stogie. Stunning!

Arguably the most perfect work-scent ever, Andrier ups the ante from her work on the original "Amber Pour Homme," with this Iris-fueled heaven of-a-juice; a concoction that just stuns the wearer and all passersby!! Not the loudest, most noticeable, or the strongest out there, but, like I said, if you enjoy wearing a work-scent that turns heads, you could do MUCH worse than Daniela's Iris Demon! It makes you feel like the most accomplished, the most dapper bloke out there. The iris is powdery-soft, yet incisive. Like laundered, starched semi-pointed collars, this does the job!
I bought this blind upon hearing of Pharrell's involvement with CdG on this, and never having a CdG before, I thought this might be a good intro. It was expensive, the KAWS bottle only in the 3.3oz. of course(!), but the first blast to the neck hooked me! It's a fragrance that appears/disappears over time, and really loving only a scent that I can smell on myself throughout the day, I'm into it! I was dismayed at other BNer's bashing the name 'Girl', but after some fact-checking, apparently 'Girl' is also the title of Pharrell's new album, so maybe this was designed as a kind-of partner-product to the new album? Anyway, another bold step from a true original.

My favorite fragrances are ones I can smell on myself throughout the day with minimal sprays. This one more than meets the requirements! I didn't notice it at first, but after 20-30 minutes it seems this was a cloud that came closer and farther away as time passed. Sometimes I smelled it strongly, sometimes less so. The chili pepper paste truly enhances A*Men! I gather it's the coffee being bolstered, and this is a real work of art! I love the subtle/strong/spice/sweet changes! Unlike anything I've owned...It must be an hour in now, and I love the way it sneaks up on me, like a reminder! This is an awesome blind-buy, and I couldn't be happier. Bravo!
Love this! I originally thought this would be the classic A-Men flanker, but was more than pleasantly surprised! No hint of the original in this. I'm not sure of what's grabbing my attention in this, but I think it's something reminiscent of B-Men (sequoia I think) that's mixed in here with mint and plastic and I don't know what, but it's returning me to the bottle, this cool white rubber-covered bottle, ever since. I'm wearing this to work every day since picking it up, and it lasts the full day. Bravo Mugler! This feels like a winterized, or heavier "cologne" to me. People may 'thumbs-down' this for lack of "A-Men" genes, but I feel like it's a welcome departure for the 'pure' line. Maybe most feel it should contain more 'A-Men', because of the title, but I think this fits!

Out of all 66 positive reviews of this, I expected someone to bring up the strong comparison to Creed's SMW, but no!
I know this has been out for a while now, and I think I tried it on back in the day, but today I fell for this in Sephora...My wife wore 212 on our first date and the men's version came out a year or so after that, but I didn't give it a serious try. Today I smelled a strong similarity to Silver Mountain Water by Creed (my all-time favorite scent). Lasting longer, costing a fraction less, adds up to a quick decision to pick it up! I smell it on myself (after one spray to the neck) still after 6 or 7 hours now! Sort of soft, sort of strong, I can see why many say this should be marketed as unisex, but I love it! I'm giving it a shot!
Tried this yesterday at MACY'S, and immediately felt that I'd worn this before! After much thought, I came up with: "Reaction" by Kenneth Cole! I wore KC in high school, and it all came back to me smelling "Artisan." Other thoughts?
Became addicted to this from smelling a scent strip in a magazine when it first came out and recently purchased the "deluxe" atomiser...I flat out LOVE this! Wore it on two interviews (just one spritz to the neck). It's pretty powerful stuff! Definite 8-hour longevity. An overall unique scent.

The reason y'all like Creed OV better than Mugler Cologne (the better frag.), is that you paid twice as much for half the amount! 'Nuff said!
Awesome musk! Just got a bottle 2 weeks ago (finally!) and have had 2 compliments from strangers!! One said I smelled "delicious," and the other said: "you smell really good."
So, after god-knows-how-many bottles of moderate to Creed-THIS is what the women prefer!
No problem...the price can't be beat!(1.7 for $40.00 approx.). Awesome fragrance!
Heard it was "discontinued," but found it in a MACY'S in flushing, Queens of all places! Right there in the display case! Picked up a 1.7 oz. and liked it initially MUCH more than A*Men...Have to try it more, though...after wearing it a whole weekend, I felt underwhelmed by it...not sure why (?). With A*Men, you're self-conscious of smelling too "girly", but I DO like the audacity of it! Anyway, B*Men is alive and well in Queens, N.Y.! Must wear it more to give a definitive rating.
bought a 1oz. bottle from Saks for my wife for Christmas '07...found myself constantly sneaking sniffs of the uncapped sprayer and trying it on myself (I had found out Creed was marketing this as unisex). Something definitely addictive here! Can't smell it on myself after an hour though...1 oz lasted approx. 90 days...I started looking online to see if I could avoid retail for a 4oz...found it at Perfume Loop for $105! Half off! (has anyone else used them?) First thing I noticed was it had a black sprayer instead of silver.... Everything else was the same...was it fake?? Of course I thought I detected a diference, and I still smell the empty 1oz. sprayer...but anyway, nothing else has held my attention as this has....definite metallic/ink note in there, giving it it's uniqueness...can't NOT put this on! I've since added the body/hair wash to it! Wish the scent lasted longer.
