Bulgari pour Femme by Bulgari
Very violet, like a warm rainy night in late spring when wet blossoms are hanging heavy from the trees. Heady stuff-- you have to be in the mood.

Earth by Gap
I actually brought a little spritzer of this stuff with me on a car-camping trip to the Southwest-- where else do you feel closer to the EARTH itself?? It's mostly based on sage. Very androgynous, and not too overpowering for something so inexpensive. I still wear it occasionally and am glad I picked up a bottle of the EDT before they stopped making it.

Ysatis by Givenchy
This fragrance is a testament to the power of a good signature scent. A friend of mine used to wear this and I can never smell it without thinking of her. I was shocked to see it came out in the '80s; it's a classic that smells like it could have come from fifty years earlier.

Fracas by Robert Piguet
Yes please!! Not for everyone, as it's no shrinking violet (or tuberose) but there's a reason it has stuck around for so long. It's a decadent classic, a la Francaise. Unless you happen to be in Paris, I'd save it for evening. The body cream (which I got from Sephora, not sure it's available more widely?) is lovely.

Private Collection by Estée Lauder
Yum. I don't have any of this currently, but it's lovely stuff. I first tried it in my early 20s, and it smelled a bit too 'mature', but I liked it anyway. Now that I'm more mature myself (>ulp<) I truly love it.

Perry Ellis for Women by Perry Ellis
I agree this is a bit dated, but still very likable. Very much a daytime scent, it takes me back to jobs I had in NYC in the '80s. I'm SO glad I picked up a bottle of the EDP in Filene's Basement a few years ago-- I'd hate to have lost my memory of this scent.

Falling In Love by Philosophy
Almost a guilty pleasure-- it's the sweetest, fruitiest perfume I wear. Super feminine.

Wet Garden by Demeter Fragrance Library
Add me to the thumbs-up tally. I agree with the person who said it smells like a florist shop. And can that be a bad thing?

Niki de Saint Phalle by Niki de Saint Phalle
Is it even possible I'm the first to review this? I wish someone with more technical knowledge would review it, so I know why I love it as much as I do!

Tomato by Demeter Fragrance Library
I enjoy this stuff quite a lot. The reviewers above are right, it doesn't smell like the tomato itself, it smells like the tomato vine and leaves, which is like nothing else on earth. Next time you pick a fresh tomato, sniff your fingers: a greenish, celery-like aroma. Delish. I'd love to know about other tomato-leaf-based fragrances!

Alyssa Ashley Musk by Alyssa Ashley
I was blown away to find they still make this. Was it reintroduced recently? I had to buy a bottle just for nostalgia's sake. It still holds up nicely, imo.

Alliage by Estée Lauder
This was the first perfume I ever bought, at about age 16 (I'm dating myself here!). I wasn't the type of girl people expected to be wearing perfume (which was much less common among young people back then) and I think I wore it at home more than to school or out at night! I can still just call the scent to mind-- not sure I'd still like it.

Dior Addict by Christian Dior
This has become my go-to scent. I'm not someone who knows the technical details of scent, but I'll agree with many of the people here who have written that, no matter what mood I'm in, this always smells good. I guess I have odd tastes, but this seems like a very 'easy' scent to me: comfy but fresh, yummy but light.
