L'Air du Desert Marocain by Tauer

I THINK THIS IS THE BESST OF TAUER'S FRAGRANCES. IT'S HAUNTING AND THERE'S NOTHING LIKE IT, ANYWHERE. A BEAUTIFUL FRAGRANCE!

Loukhoum by Keiko Mecheri

I AGREE 100% WITH TREBOR (REVIEW BELOW). THIS IS A GREAT SCENT...A NEW FAVORITE! FIVE STARS!

B5 by Brooksfield

THIS IS A THE ONLY BROOKFELD COLOGNE THAT I FIND JUST FAIR...NOTHING SPECIAL. BUT THE OTHER THREE COLOGNES FOR MEN ARE ALL GREAT.

B.Green by Brooksfield

odysseusm'S REVIEW (BELOW) IS A PERFECT REVIEW FOR THIS THUMBS WAY UP COLOGNE. AS THE REVIEW ALSO NOTES...IT IS NOT AN EASY COLOGNE TO FINE. IT SEEMS ALL OF BROOKSFELD COLOGNES ARE DIFFICULT TO FIND...EVEN IN ITALY WHERE THEY ARE PRODUCED. BUT IF YOU CAN FIND IT...TRY IT.
01 June 2008

Royal Blue by Brooksfield

ZENPIPER'S REVIEW (BELOW) IS A PERFECT REVIEW FOR THIS GREAT COLOGNE. THE ONLY PROBLEM (AND IT IS A PROBLEM)...IS THAT IT'S ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ANYWHERE. IF YOU COME ACROSS IT...GIVE IT A TRY.

Juozas Statkevicius by Juozas Statkevicius

I agree with all of the other reviews. It IS a unixex fragrance which makes it all the more amazing. Lucky Scent and Beauty Habit carry it and you might want to try a sample before purchasing the real deal. I love it and it's sure worth a sample.

Derring-Do for Men by Ineke

This is that rare Men's scent that is simple, clean, fresh, but LONG LASTING and will stay with you all day. It's the "ultimate light" in that it's not overpowering...but it's always there with it's step out of shower freshness. If you like fresh scents that are very unique and last...then this is worth a try.

Parfums des Beaux Arts Gingembre by Dawn Spencer Hurwitz

I agree with Isaac's review below, completely. This is a terrific scent. If you like ginger and amber with warm spices, included, then you'll really enjoy this wonderful parfume.

Kremlin by Parfums Kremlin

I Have just recently tried Kremlin and I'm loving it! It is a Spicy Oriental. It is warm, fresh, spicy, and long lasting. It's very hard to find in US but it's well worth trying if you can locate it. This is a good one! Below are the notes in Kremlin

Aldehyde, Basil oil, Bergamot oil, Galbanum, Green Note, Lemon, Mandarin, Peach,

Carnation, Jasmin, Lily of the Valley, Rose,

Amber, Cedar, Civet, Labdanum, Patchouli, Sandal, Tonka, Vanilla,

Kisu by Tann Rokka

Kisu is now called AKI by Tann Rokka. To me, it is one of the finest scents I've ever worn. It's become a favorite of mine, instantly. Others have described it well...it just takes "warm and wonderful" to the highest of levels. It IS very expensive...but a little goes a long way and it has wonderful staying power. For a parfum lover...this is a must try...and for me a must have.
10 May 2008

F pour Homme by Salvatore Ferragamo

I THINK THIS IS, BY FAR, THE BEST OF THE FARRAGAMO EDT. IT'S FRESH, WARM, AND SURPRISINGLY LONG LASTING. THIS IS A WINNER. DEFINITELY WORTH TRYING.
06 April 2008

Pierre Cardin Musk by Pierre Cardin

If you enjoy MUSK and a very warm, fresh, lasting scent...this is the ticket. It's very hard to find...but so many of the good ones, are. The best of Pierre Cardin for men
17 May 2007

Ice*Men by Thierry Mugler

I swear this smells like Ben Gay. The only difference is...it doesn't ease sore muscles. The worst new fragrance, by far! Smell at your own risk before buying.
16 May 2007

Mark Cross by Mark Cross

IF YOU CAN FIND THIS...IT'S GREAT. MARK CROSS IS VERY MUCH LIKE A/F WOODS. ONLY IMO...IT'S BETTER AND LASTS MUCH LONGER. IF YOU LIKE A BRISK, WOODY, FRESH SCENT...THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST. I RECENTLY FOUND SOME BRAND NEW (IN THE ORIGINAL WRAPPING) MARK CROSS EDT AND AFTER SHAVE LOTION. I FOUND THEM ON E BAY AND THEY WERE VERY, VERY INEXPENSIVE. JOSHAUGUSTT
22 April 2007

V pour Homme by Valentino

It's not that this is a bad, new cologne...there's just nothing much to it. And it has almost NO lasting power. It is a fresh, woody, marine scent...but then what isn't! It just doesn't stand out as unique or different.
17 June 2006

Starwalker by Mont Blanc

I agree with the review below that says "this fragrance is not as original as Presence". But...that said...I really enjoyed it. It is spicy and sweet and perfect for the summer.I've become a big fan of Mont Blanc and this is another good addition to this line of fragrance. Joshaugustt
25 March 2006

Serge Nancel for Him by Serge Nancel

This was a very operpowering scent, for me. All of the individual ingredients, I like. But together, this is a very musky, heavy unpleasant scent. I'd skip this one. Joshaugustt
22 March 2006

Globe by Rochas

It took me quite awhile to decide on this cologne. So, I left it alone for a year or so...and I'm now rediscovering it again. I like it! It's getting hard to get but it's worth the try...it's very fresh, unique and different. Joshaugustt
14 February 2006

Lancetti Monsieur by Lancetti

This is one of the very best of the Lancetti Line, for men. Unfortunately, it's been cancelled. But you can still find it on line now and again. This is a wonderful woody, tabacco, warm fragrance that has great staying power and is never overwhelming. This one is worth a try. Joshaugustt
07 February 2006

Perac pour Homme by Perac

I was lucky enough to find this on EBay and after reading the reviews below, I decided to try it. And it's now one of my favorite scents! To bad it's SO hard to find. It's worth the hunt. Joshaugustt
05 February 2006

Aubusson Homme by Aubusson

I agree with both the listed reviews. This is a very fresh, woody, and classy fragrance that's not too strong and yet has its own uniqueness. I've also tried the a/shave and the spray deodorant and the scent is even better when wearing all three. This is a good one. Joshaugustt
04 February 2006

Homme de Grès by Grès

This one is new to me and I like it. I think all of the reviews have got it right...and each review adds something different. If you read all of the reviews...you'll know exactly what you'll be getting. For me, it's a nice, new dry chypre that is fresh, powdery, and has nice staying power. Joshaugustt
03 February 2006

Unforgivable by Sean John

This fragrance comes very well packaged, and it's a good thing too...because that's about all the bang you're going to get for your buck with this scent. It's a slight citrus that is not distinctive and doesn't last. try a sample before you buy. Joshaugustt
01 February 2006

Etienne Aigner No. 2 by Etienne Aigner

This is a scent that "grew" on me over a period of time. The good news is that it's still being produced AND...it's a wonderful warm, spicy, clean fragrance that has fairly good staying power. This one is really worth a try...or two! Joshaugustt
31 January 2006

Salvador Dali pour Homme by Salvador Dali

It took me a few trys to finally decide that I really LIKE this cologne. It's not for everyone as it has a stand out scent. But after giving it a fair try, I really do love this scent. It's fresh and unique and has a powdery dry down. It's worth a try...or two! Joshaugustt
29 January 2006

Dior Homme by Christian Dior

I had to really wear this scent a few times before deciding if I actually liked it. I've decided that for me...it's a thumbs up. But I can understand why it may not be to everyone's liking. For me...it's a soft, but lingering, fresh, warm scent that is solid through and through. It's worth a try! Joshaugustt
20 January 2006

Fever pour Homme by Céline

Fever is a very good, new fragrance by Celine. It is a solid warm and spicy scent that has very nice staying power. This seems a real step up from the last Celine for men. It's very well packaged and just may be another big seller for the company. It's definitely worth a try. Joshaugustt
18 January 2006

Moschino Friends Men by Moschino

This ain't no Friend of mine. I bought both the EDT and the After Shave and I've tried them both on three separate occasions. I don't know the make up of this scent, but there's SOMETHING in here, that I find almost revolting. I like their other colognes, but this is a rare thumbs down for me. Try this one before purchasing it. Joshaugustt
12 January 2006

Apparition Homme by Ungaro

There's nothing really wrong with this new scent from Ungaro...but it's hardly strong enough to make it out the door. Maybe they'll come out with an Apparition Homme Intense, and that might just be a thumbs up. For Ungaro, who's known for solid, distinctive, long lasting fragrances...this seems to be a modern step backward. Joshaugustt
11 January 2006

Être pour Homme by Lancetti

Etre is a wonderful spicy, woody scent. It's warm and wonderful. And it's long lasting. If you enjoy a fresh, spicy aroma, then give this a try. I'm loving it. Joshaugustt
30 December 2005

Olympios by Missoni

This is a very, nice warm, spicy, woody scent and as long as you don't overdo...it's a wonderful, unique scent. Thumbs up...but a little goes a long way! Joshaugustt
21 December 2005

Havana Reserva by Aramis

This is a great scent. If you love Havana...you'll probably love Havana Reserva. It's just a toned down version of the original. It took awhile for me to appreciate it, but now, I only use Reserva rather than the original Havana. Too bad it's been cancelled. Grab it if you can. Joshaugustt
29 November 2005

Aramis 900 by Aramis

I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH "GRIFF" (REVIEW BELOW). I THINK IT'S A GREAT SCENT BUT IT'S GETTING VERY, VERY HARD TO FIND...SOME SAY IT'S BEING DISCONTINUED. Joshaugustt
29 November 2005

Armani Code / Black Code by Giorgio Armani

I ADD A THUMBS UP TO THIS GREAT, ARMANI SCENT! Joshaugustt
21 November 2005

David Beckham Instinct by Beckham

Instinct is a very classy, new scent from COTY! It starts of with a burst of freshness and then warms up and keeps warming. It has fairly good staying power and it doesn't smell like every other new scent. The spray deodorant is also wonderful. This one is worth a try. Joshaugustt
15 November 2005

Soprani Uomo by Luciano Soprani

THIS IS A WONDERFUL EASY DUTY FALL FRAGRANCE. IT'S GREEN, FRESH, AND FINALLY WARM. IT'S DEFINITELY WORH A TRY. IT'S NOT LOUD...BUT IT IS CLASSY AND FINE. JOSH AUGUSTT
05 October 2005

Brooksfield Men by Brooksfield

THIS IS A WONDERFUL UNDISCOVERED SCENT. IT'S UNIQUELY FRESH AND YET VERY WARM AT THE SAME TIME. IT'S THE KIND OF SCENT THAT YOU CAN WEAR ANYWHERE AND ANY TIME OF THE YEAR. THIS IS A REAL FIND.

Pancaldi by Hanorah

I completely agreee with YVAN, below. This VERY hard to find fragrance is...AS GOOD AS IT GETS!!! Joshaugustt
06 November 2005

Witness by Jacques Bogart

This Witness is a sleeper. And it's easy to forget just how GOOD it is. It has a very, very warm and fresh quality to it and has excellent staying power. It's discontinued, but it's still available on line. It's worth a try. Joshaugustt
03 November 2005

Statement by Etienne Aigner

This is a very fresh, green scent. It has fair staying power and it's a good, solid fragrance. But it's probably not going to be one of your all time favorites. Joshaugustt
30 October 2005

Arpège pour Homme by Lanvin

Warm and Wonderful!!! I think this is the BEST new fragrance so far this year!!! If you like warm, deep woods and spices, and a powdery drydown that lasts and is never overpowering...then this is the ticket. It's a perfect new fragrance. Joshaugustt
30 October 2005

Jean Louis Trintignant by Jean Louis Trintignant

This is a WONDERFUL fragrance! It's very rare, hard to find, and very expensive, IF you can find it. But it's a warm, woody, powdery, slightly spicey scent with great staying power. It's not heavy but it's not light, either. It's simply a one of a kind, classy woody scent. It's really worth a try. Joshaugustt
28 October 2005

Gucci pour Homme (original) by Gucci

I'M PROBABLY THE LAST PERSON ON THE EARTH TO TRY THIS OLD CLASSIC AND I LOVE IT. I ONLY WISH IT WAS EASIER TO FIND AND A LOT LESS EXPENSIVE. IT'S A CLEAN, CLASSY FRAGRANCE THAT HAS GREAT STAYING POWER. ONLY WISH I HAD TRIED IT A DECADE EARLIER! JOSHAUGUSTT
24 October 2005

American Crew Classic Fragrance by American Crew

BASENOTES DESCRIPTION SAYS IT ALL...IT'S A SUBTLE, SPICEY, CITRUS FRAGRANCE. I LIKE IT ONCE AND AWHILE. IT'S VERY REFRESHING. JOSHAUGUSTT
21 October 2005

Dunhill Fresh by Alfred Dunhill

BASED ON THESE REVIEWS, IT SEEMS GUYS EITHER LOVE IT OR HATE IT. I LOVE IT. I CAN'T EVEN IMAGINE NOT LOVING IT. I THINK THE NEW DUNHILL HOMME AND DUNHILL FRESH ARE TWO OF THE BEST, NEW FRAGRANCES PRODUCED IN THE PAST FEW YEARS. JOSHAUGUSTT
21 October 2005

Cumming by Alan Cumming

THIS IS THE ONLY FRAGRANCE I'VE EVER TRIED...THAT ACTUALLY SMELLED LIKE BODY ODOR!!! I HAVE NO IDEA WHICH OF THE INGREDIENTS GIVE IT THIS DUBIOUS DISTINCTION (THE HIGHLAND MUD? OR THE CIGAR?)... IT DOESN'T MATTER...JUST STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS OVERPRICED, RANCID SCENT. JOSHAUGUSTT
21 October 2005

Cabaret Homme by Grès

I JUST WANT TO ADD A BIG THUMBS UP FOR CABARET. I AGREE WITH BOTH OF THE LAST TWO REVIEWS. THIS ONE IS A "FRESH" FIND. IT'S DEFINITELY WORTH TRYING...AND YOU'LL PROBABLY LIKE IT, TOO. JOSHAUGUSTT
21 October 2005

Arrogance pour Homme (original) by Arrogance

THIS IS STHE ORIGINAL ARROGANCE FRAGRANCE AND IT'S ONE OF THEIR BEST. IT'S STILL AVAILABLE IF YOU LOOK HARD. THIS FRAGRANCE HAS IT ALL...IT'S WARM, GREEN, WOODY, SPICY AND IT ALL ENDS UP...VERY, VERY MELLOW. A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY. AND IT'S REALLY WORTH A TRY. I LOVE IT. JOSHAGUSTT
21 October 2005

Carlos Santana for Men by Carlos Santana

THIS IS A GREAT, NEW FRAGRANCE...HOPEFULLY THE FIRST OF MANY FROM SANTANA! IT'S VERY FRESH AND SPICY...AND VERY WARM AND LASTING. IT'S QUALITY...ALL THE WAY. I LOOK FORWARD TO THE SHOWER GEL, DEO, AFTER SHAVE ETC...TO "LAYER". THIS IS A GREAT ONE...TRY IT IF YOU LIKE THE ADJECTIVES ABOVE! JOSHAUGUSTT
20 October 2005

Nino Cerruti by Cerruti

I AGREE WITH ALL OF THE POSITIVE REVIEWS. I'M PROBABLY THE LAST PERSON ON EARTH TO HAVE TRIED CERRUTI FOR MEN...AND BETTER LATE THAN NEVER! I DIDN'T HAVE TROUBLE FINDING CERRUTI ON THE WEB. AND I AM REALLY ENJOYING IT. IT'S A NO NONSENSE RICH CITRUS/FLORAL THAT DESERVES TO STILL BE AROUND AFTER ALL THESE YEARS. IT'S WORTH A TRY. JOSH AUGUSTT

Hugo Energise by Hugo Boss

Nothing here. Save your money.
03 October 2005

Kipling by Weil

This is a wonderful and hard to find cologne. It's a great woody, warm scent...Not too loud and not too soft...Just right. It's nothing like quorum (review below). And it's still listed on e bay every now and then. Try it...You'll like it.
28 September 2005

21 Club by 21 Club

Woody and strong...But great! It's very hard to find...Not expensive...Just hard to find. But a woody cologne of great quality, warmth, and staying power. Worth a try if you can find it.
26 September 2005

Woodhue for Men by Fabergé

This is without a doubt...The king of the woody fragrances. It was an instant classic in it's day. And you can find it on ebay, once in a while. But it's very expensive and rare. That said...It's simply the best woody fragrance ever made...Hence the name...Woodhue.
26 September 2005

Vanille Passion / Vanille by Comptoir Sud Pacifique

This is the very best vanilla-- and it's worn by both men and women. It's been considered "hot" by the hollywood crowd, led by jack nicholson, who wears it...For a long time. They all discovered it in cannes, one year during the festival. Now, this is a very rich vanilla. So, if you don't like vanilla...Forget it. But if you want the best vanilla scent, this is it. You can use it as is...Or selectively add a couple sprays to one of your favorite scents. It's amazing what it will do. Try it...You might enjoy it.
22 September 2005

Aigner Black for Men by Etienne Aigner

if you like a solid, no nonsense, woody, warm scent, then this will fit the bill. It's not the usual water downed citrus scent, with lots of "warm" ingredients. It's a clean, strong, and solid new scent from aigner that may soon become a real "find". Try this...You may like it.
15 September 2005

Corduroy by Zirh

This is a very good woody scent. It's not too heavy yet it's not light either. And it has very good staying power. It's a very warm scent but it's in no way overpowering. This should be a very popular scent. Josh Augustt
07 September 2005

Knize Ten by Knize

Unlike all the the reviews above...I couldn't stand this scent. It's got a very strong leather scent that overpowers all the rest of the ingredients. Save your money. P U

Donald Trump The Fragrance by Donald Trump

PLEASE...DO NOT WAIST YOUR TIME AND MONEY ON THIS LOSER. IT'S GOT EVEN LESS CLASS THAN TRUMP!
27 April 2005

Tamerisk by Mary Kay

I agree with the comments below. Tamerisk is a very good fragrance. It's warm, woody, and mellow. If you try EBAY Fragrance Men...and just type in Tamerisk...there is usually a listing or two, daily...for Tamerisk. JA
03 March 2005

Boss Soul by Hugo Boss

This could be titled Boss Weak Soul! It does have a nice, warm scent, but it's NOT a unique one. And...it just doesn't have any staying power. I'd suggest trying a sample before purchasing this one. It just misses being a really good, new fragrance. J.A. USA
15 February 2005

Jil Sander Man Pure (new) by Jil Sander

I agree completely with the review BELOW. This is not even close to the kind of quality, you've come to expect from Jil Sander. It's COMPLETELY different that the ORIGINGAL Jil Sander PURE. Don't waste your money.
08 November 2004

B*Men by Thierry Mugler

B MEN will probably be 'almost' as successful, as A MEN.I LIKE IT! I don't know the individual notes, but it's very warm, woody, fresh scent...and it has very good staying power. This one is really worth trying. Josh Augustt 9-15-04
15 September 2004

H.O.T. Always by Bond No. 9

HOT ALWAYS IS GREAT!!! I AGREE WITH REVIEW BY EVOGEL. IT'S A VERY WARM, UNIQUE, AND LONG LASTING SCENT. IT'S ONE OF THE BEST WARM, SPICY SCENTS, I'VE FOUND IN MANY YEARS. IT'S VERY EXPENSIVE, BUT IT'S WORTH A TRY. 9-04-04
03 September 2004

Superfragrance for Men by Etienne Aigner

Superfragrance is a GREAT fragrance. Two thumbs WAY UP! But...it's almost impossible to find. It's very warm, subtle, masculine, and fresh, and has great staying power. It's the kind of scent that makes you "feel" clean...all day long. I've found a few on ebay...but it's very hard to find. It's defintitely worth trying if you can locate a bottle. It's truly a "Super" fragrance. 7-2-404
03 July 2004

Free Life by Etienne Aigner

FREE LIFE IS A WONDERFUL WARM, FRESH, LONG LASTING SCENT FROM AIGNER. THEY CREATE SOME GREAT SCENTS AND THEN CANCEL THEM. BUT IF YOU FIND FREE LIFE IT'S DEFINTIELY WORTH A TRY. IT'S VERY UNIQUE...FRESH, WARM, AND ORIGNINAL. 7-2-04 USA
03 July 2004

Dunhill for Men by Alfred Dunhill

This may be a very old fragrance...but the fact that it's still around, made me curious. It's a wonderful, original scent. It's not an oceanic type non scent cologne. This is a very warm, masculine, and classy fragrance. And you'll be the only one wearing it. The After Shave is also very, very good. Try this one...you just may like it.

Allure Homme Sport by Chanel

I agree with the previous review. It's light, sporty, but then so are hundreds of other scents. I was disappointed that Chanel didn't take a great scent like Allure and make the "SPORT" version, really unique and distinctive. They didn't. 6-13-04
13 June 2004

Halston 101 by Halston

A GREAT Cologne. I'm only sorry I just discovered it...and it's impossible to find. It's one of the BEST spicy/warm fragrances I've ever worn. It's very very classy...not at all overpowering, but it has wonderful staying power. If you get a chance to even sample this one...try it. 06-05-04
05 June 2004

Futuros by Aubusson

FUTROS is a wonderful, fresh, warm fragrance. I found one on Ebay and loved it. And then was lucky enough to find someone selling over a dozen brand new bottles. If you enjoy a really fine, subtle yet lasting, warm and unique scent...try this one... if you find it on the net. I think you'll love it. 6-05-04
05 June 2004

Chevignon by Chevignon

I totally agree with RUSLAN (I usually do). This is the BEST of the Chevignon scents. It's still available on a few sites and it's well worth trying. It's a wonderful, spicy, fresh, warm scent with staying power.

30 May 2004

Boss Sport by Hugo Boss

I totally agree with the last TWO men. I love this great scent, but hate that I discovered it, much too late. I've managed to purchase a small cache of Boss Sport EDT,After Shave, and Spray Deo. But this would have been one of my favorite scents that I would have purchased forever. It's unique, fresh, warm, and has great staying power. If you can pick up either the EDT or the A/S...it's well worth it. This is a GREAT Cologne!5-30-04
30 May 2004

Romance Silver Men by Ralph Lauren

This is another Fragrance that's made "new" by adding the word "Silver" to it's name. It you liked the original Romance...stick with IT. You can hardly tell the difference between this and the Original Romance...and the Original has the "back up" Shower Gel, After Shave, Deodorants etc. 5-25-04
24 May 2004

John Varvatos by John Varvatos

John Varvatos is a VERY ORIGINAL new fragrance. It's very masculine, rich, warm, and unique. There's also a clean, freshness...as it drys down. This will be a very popular new scent. The Shower Gel, Deodorant, and the After Shave Balm are also teriffic. This is worth a try. 5-24-04
24 May 2004

Curve Crush for Men by Liz Claiborne

I was not a fan of Crush and tried this because it was supposed to be richer and deeper. It's not. It smells exactly like the original, Crush. So, if you like the Original...you'll like this as well. It smells like dozens of other bland scents currently on the market. Save your money. 5-24-04
24 May 2004

Style In Play by Lacoste

This is a lame effort for Lacoste. It's a light, airy, nothing scent. It's not in the least distinctive. It IS a light/summer fragrance...but it's sure not going to "light up your life". 5-23-04
23 May 2004

Cool Water Deep by Davidoff

I don't get it! I thought Cool Water Deep, was supposed to be warmer and richer than the original. They ought to call this Cool Water Shallow. If you like Cool Water...I guess you'll like this, too. But it's a bit of a rip off. 5-23-04
23 May 2004

Chic for Men by Carolina Herrera

I just don't "get it" with this one. It's like a NON-Fragrance. It's not woody, but it has wood, it's not citrus but it has citrus, it's not floral, but it's got floral and...it has almost zero staying power. It's a classy package with nothing much inside. J. Augustt 5-1-04 USA
02 May 2004

Duc de Vervins by Houbigant

I've had this cologne for some time, but hardly used it. Then I read Ruslan's comments below...and I went back and tried it again. Thanks to Ruslan...I've got a new favorite! It's everything he says it is. It's classy, fresh, woody, spicy and not over powering...yet very long lasting. I won't pass by this one, again. Josh A 4-29-04
29 April 2004

Jil Sander Man Pure (original) by Jil Sander

This is another GREAT Jil Sander Scent. And like all of her great fragrances...it's discontinued(her average scents are available.)I found a couple bottles of this on ebay and it's AMAZING. For those who know FEELING MAN by Sander...Sander Man Pure is VERY similar...almost identical. The only difference seems to be,it's not quite as heavy as Feeling Man, and the dry down is a bit sweeter. However, it has great staying power. This is another example of a beautifully crafted scent, being yanked from the market, long before it's time. It's a lost classic! Joshaugustt USA 4-19-04
19 April 2004

Tristano by Tristano Onofri

Tristano is a real FIND! I just tried it and it's great. It's been kept a real secret. If you like a fresh, warm, woody scent...then you'll love this one. It has great staying power and it's unlike any other fragrance out there. I also use the After Shave. This is worth a try...I love it. Josh Augustt 4-12-04
14 April 2004

Tailoring by Clinique

Thanks to BASENOTES and the guys on this page...I TRIED Tailoring and LOVED IT. I happened upon it on E Bay. I completely agree with all of the reviews on this page. It is surprisingly concentrated and a few drops go a long way. It's a very fresh, warm scent that has amazing staying power. Clinique has never been this good before...or since. Josh Augustt 3-30-04 USA
31 March 2004

Hero by Prince Matchabelli

Hero, like Matchabelli Cologne, is a wonderful scent. It's odd that one company created two great scents for men and then discontinued them both. Hero is a warm, fresh, oriental scent. The second you smell it...you'll "get" that's it's great. Hero..like Matchabelli is often available on E Bay. I've purchased several bottles of both fragrances on E Bay. It's definitely worth a try. Josh Augustt 3-27-04 USA
27 March 2004

CerrutiSí by Cerruti

CerrutiSi is a very nice, if subtle, new scent from Cerruti. It's subtle in the same way Burberry Touch is subtle. It has a very fresh and clean scent that's made distinctive, by the warmer notes in the dry down. It will make a very nice summer scent. It't worth a try. Josh Augustt 4-16-04 USA
16 March 2004

R by Révillon

This is a GREAT scent!!! And it's a very hard one to describe. It IS soft and green, and a little sweet...but it still has body and surprising staying power...yet NEVER overpowering. If you like a fresh, clean, slightly sweet scent...then Revillion is the Scent for you. It IS hard to find. I've also used the After Shave and the spray deodorant...but those, too, are very hard to find. This is one of my favorites. It's definitely worth a try.
06 March 2004

Force Majeure by Jacques Bogart

Force Majeure is a very over looked fragrance. It's a very fresh, warm, and modern scent. It wears well and you'll be the only one wearing it. It's a very classy scent, fairly priced, and it's definitely worth a try. The after shave and spray deodorant, are also great.
Josh Augustt 2-9-04 USA
10 February 2004

Monogram by Ralph Lauren

Monogram is a GREAT fragrance. I have NO idea what scent notes are in this fragrance. But it's a scent that sneaks up on you. It's light, masculine, fresh, and warm...and even though it's subtle...it has GREAT staying power. I've found several bottles on Ebay but they're RARE. I've noticed many sites DO carry the MINI Monogram. It's worth buying a Mini just to try it out. It's definitely worth the try. I wish they'd bring it back...subtle, lasting, and classy! Josh Augustt 2-9-04 USA
09 February 2004

Joint by Roccobarocco

Joint is a terrific warm and woody scent. It's been fairly overlooked and is now hard to find. But it's worth trying if you can find it. It's warm, fresh, woody and a very unique, classy scent.

Booster by Lacoste

This is one of the very few fragrances that I really hated. The menthol/mint/eucalyptus is SO strong...that it smelled like Vicks Vapo Rub. It's just awful. If you love rubbing Vicks on your chest, you'll enjoy spraying this on the rest of your body. Big thumbs down. Josh A. USA 2-1/04

Carven Homme by Carven

Carven is a GREAT, new fragrance. It's got it all. It's very warm, fresh, and clean. And the dry down is also fresh but also woody. This is a find and I think anyone who likes a fresh, warm, and woody scent...will give this one a big Thumbs UP. Josh A. USA 1-29-04

Vera Wang for Men by Vera Wang

This is the first fragrance from Vera Wang for Men, and it's excellent! It's a great fragrance for winter. It's very rich and very warm. And it's classy. It's bold without being overbearing. Give this one a try. Let's hope this is the first of many from the "House" of Wang. Josh Augustt USA 1-19-04

Very Sexy for Him 2 by Victoria's Secret

I totally agree with "Jopher's" comments. I didn't like the First Victoria Secret's scent but I was very suprised by #2!!! It's a very classy, clean, fresh, woody scent that has staying power. This one is a surprise. Try a sample. J. Augustt 1-17-04

Deep Forest by Bogner

DEEP FOREST is one of the BEST Woody Fragrances...ever! If you like a fresh, woody, yet not heavy fragrance...give this a try if you can still find it. It's a woody classic. Try e bay. This is one of Bogner's Best. Josh Augustt USA 1/18/04

Dunhill by Alfred Dunhill

Dunhill is the BEST new fragrance I've tried in 2003! It's a solid new scent that's warm and determined. It's fresh and mellow and the dry down is smooth and powdery. It may be the most sophisticated of all the Dunhill fragrances...I think it's definitely the best. The After Shave, Deodorant, and Shampoo are also GREAT. Give this one a try. J. Augustt 12/06/03

Rive Gauche pour Homme by Yves Saint Laurent

I LIKE this new YSL Scent. It's very unique and not like everything else. It's very warm, clean, and classy. I purchased both the EDT and the Essence, which has only slightly longer staying power. It's not a long lasting scent and that may be its only draw back. But I give it a strone thumbs up and feel it's definitely worth a try. J. Augustt 12/06/03
06 December 2003

Purple Label by Ralph Lauren

Purple Label is a really good new fragrance from Ralph Lauren. It's a warm, fresh, classy scent all the way. The scent lasts longer if you use BOTH the After Shave along with the Cologne. This is definitely worth trying. J. Augustt 12/05/03

PS by Paul Sebastian

PS is one of the more over looked scents. I find that I keep coming back to this one, when I want a crisp, clean, spicy, warm scent. And it never disappoints. It's no longer expensive and the line includes many back up products including PS Talc. This is a very classy scent and well worth a try. J. August 10/17/03

Echo by Davidoff

There is nothing new here. It's bland and a big disappointment. Be sure you try it before you buy it. Davidoff must have let their guard down. J. Augustt
05 November 2003

Jasper Conran Man by Jasper Conran

NOTHING GOING ON WITH THIS SCENT! It's what I'd call a "non" scent. It's liquid bland. I don't dislike it, but there's nothing to pay money for or get excited about. Try it before you buy it. J. Augustt 11/06/03

Gucci pour Homme by Gucci

This is a great new scent by Gucci. It does harken back to the good "old" days of REAL scents that have warmth and spices you can smell and feel...and it lasts!!! This is sure to be a new classic for those who like it real and classy. J. Augustt 11/06/03
05 November 2003

Stetson Untamed by Stetson

This is a VERY classy new scent from Stetson. They put away the cowboy and the horse and created a very fine, sophisticated warm scent. It's light but it's fresh, woody, and warm. If this was released by an upscale label, it would sell for big bucks. This one is worth a try. J. Augustt 11/05/03

Individuel by Mont Blanc

This a GREAT new cologne!!! It's got a very unique scent that clearly does NOT smell like any other cologne. And it's not too subtle, even though it IS light and fresh. It's that rare, great fragrance that's ORIGINGAL, fresh, warm yet now overpowering...and it has great staying power. I've been a fan of Mont Blan's Presence. But they've topped it, with Individual. This is a great new scent...grab it and try it!

Undeniable for Men by Avon

UNDENIABLE IS A TERRIFIC AVON FRAGRANCE. IT'S LIKE A VERY FINE/EXPENSIVE MEN'S COLOGNE. IT HAS A RICH, WARM AND SPICY FEEL TO IT...VERY FRESH AND VERY UNIQUE. IT'S NO LONGER MADE, BUT I'VE FOUND A NUMBER OF THEM ON E BAY. TRY THIS IF WARM, FRESH, AND SPICY ACCORDS, APPEAL TO YOU. YOU WON'T BE SORRY YOU DID.
27 August 2003

Starring for Men by Avon

STARRING.. IS A GREAT SCENT FROM AVON. AS WARM AND SENSATIONAL AS MESMERIZE, BY AVON, IS...STARRING IS FRESH, WARM, AND CLASSY. IT'S ONE OF THOSE GREAT, FRESH, OUT THE THE SHOWER FRAGRANCES, THAT MAKES YOU FEEL GREAT, AS YOU START YOUR DAY. ONLY PROBLEM IS-- IT'S VERY HARD TO FIND. I'VE FOUND A NUMBER OF THEM ON E BAY. TRY THIS ONE...IT'S TERRIFIC!!!
27 August 2003

TL pour Lui by Ted Lapidus

I love this new scent by Ted Lapidus. It reminds me, a bit, of Christobal. Except, this fragrance is more subtle yet just as long lasting. If you like a warm, rich, and fresh out of the shower scent, then I think you can't go wrong with this new winner.
23 August 2003

Spark for Men by Liz Claiborne

SPARK is a warm, rich new Claiborne entry. It's also fresh, but it's a nice, deep fragrance without being too heavy. A great fragance for fall and winter. Very well done and worth trying.
22 August 2003

Mesmerize by Avon

MESMERIZE IS GREAT!!! I just discovered both this and Avon's Wild Country and they're two great discoveries. Mesmerize does just what the name implies. It's mesmerizing! It's very warm, fresh, and classy. It has staying power and Avon sells all of the back up products. It's not expensive. But it feels and smells like a cologne that sells at ten times the amount. If you like warm, fresh, and sensual, try it...you will love it!
30 July 2003

Wild Country by Avon

This is a new find for me. I just "discovered" Wild Country and Mesmerize from Avon, and they're both GREAT! Wild Country is a warm, spicy, fresh scent that's very classy and stays with you for a long time. It has a powedery finish and it's pure class all the way. It's a great surprise!!!

Background by Jil Sander

I love this scent. Sander never really promoted it, but it has a loyal following. It's completely unique. It's very warm, fresh, with just a touch of exotic fern and it long lasting and stays warm during the final dry down. It's a killer scent. But it's murder trying to find a bottle. Your best shot would be a "mini" and even those have become rare.
19 April 2003

Versus Time for Action by Versace

Time For Action is a "nice" summer scent. It's fresh, acquatic, and has a nice light warm dry down. I don't think it's great or trend setting...but I do like it, especially for summer.
19 April 2003

Sun Men by Jil Sander

I agree with JASON's Review. I think this is a great new summer scent. It's light, bright, fresh, and then it has a deeper lingering warmth...perfect for summer. It's not in a league with Snader's Feeling Man or Background etc. Those were VERY distintive scents that made a statement and were totally unique. Sun may be more generic, but it's at the top of its class. Try this one...I think you'll like it.
19 April 2003

Shogun by Alain Delon

I love this cologne. This takes a great scent, Samourai...just one step further. It's in the same family of fresh, clean, marine like...but it adds a bit more flair with the addition of some sweeter accents. But NOT...too sweet. A really good, new cologne worth trying.
14 April 2003

Samouraï by Alain Delon

This is a GREAT scent. It IS different for a scent that is both fresh and warm. It has a very unique (bend) on a marine type scent. This is going to get you a lot of compliaments, and make you "feel" good, while wearing it. Try this one.
14 April 2003

Davidoff by Davidoff

This is one you can miss. Simply put, it just smells "musty" and old. I really like some of Davidoff Scents (see "RELAX"). But, for good reason, this cologne just never found a following.
14 April 2003

Colours for Men by Alexander Julian

Colours is a GREAT scent.I completely agree with the previous review. It's very fresh, but uniquely so. It's a completely original fresh scent with a bit of spice and it wears well and stays fresh for hours. Unfortunately it's on the endangered list. Try and sample this one before it completely disappears...it's a whole new experience in "fresh".
11 April 2003

Relax by Davidoff

The good news is, Relax is the BEST scent I've found in the last twenty years. The bad news...it's no longer sold in regular stores in the US. It IS available at Davidoff Stores, and in Europe. This is the smoothest, warmest, cleanest scent I've ever experienced. It's rich yet never overpowering and it even makes you FEEL good, just wearing it. This is a winner guys. If you can find a sample somewhere, try it. I discovered it on this site and it's a great discovery. Enjoy.
10 April 2003

Jacomo de Jacomo Rouge by Jacomo

I think this is a WINNER! If you like scents that are warm, deep, fresh, and yeah...even sexy...this is a real find. The only problem is finding it! For a new cologne (02), it's very hard to find. This scent stands out...very unique, one of those rare new finds. Jacomo should have a real winner.
02 April 2003

Anthracite pour L'Homme by Jacomo

Anthracite is a GREAT scent, that I've only recently tried. It's not for everybody. It's very fresh and rich. It has a deep almost floral opening, but a rush of lingering warmth takes over and it's got pretty good staying power. If you like to "smell good"...this is the ticket. It also comes in a Spray Deodorant and using the two in combination, is a winning, fresh, and warm combination.

Sentiment for Men by Escada

Escada has finally found a really fine new scent for men. It will probably be its most successful male scent, to date. It's a very simple scent, but warm and lingering. It's great fom the moment you put it on and it has staying power. It has both a Shower Gel and Spray Deodorant, and when all three are used, it's a great clean, warm, and fresh scent for the winter.

Kiton Napoli by Kiton

This is another great but hard to find Aramis fragrace. It's in the same simple, clean, crisp family as regular Kiton, but this has an added warmth. I mix both Kiton and Napoli Kiton and it's a very unique fragrance. I love it!The only trouble is trying to find it...especially in the US. This one is becoming an 'underground favorite'
09 November 2002

Crave by Calvin Klein

Guys, there's nothing to crave about this scent. It's so light and airy, that is has no real distinct fragrance of its own. And even if it did, this cologne had absolutely no staying power. What is Calvin Klein thinking about these days...he's sure not thinking about creating quick classics as in past years. Save your money for something worthwhile!
23 September 2002

Kiton Men by Kiton

This is a wonderful fragrance that's not very easy to find. The cologne and the spray deodorant have the same warm, clean, fresh, and very classy scent. If you like warm, clean, and fresh...I highly recommend it
15 August 2002

Feeling Man by Jil Sander

I completely agree with Trivletj 2002/07/02!!! This is ECACTLY the same reaction that I had to this great scent. The only problem is, that it's very hard to locate. But if you can find it...try it. It's a winner!!!
15 August 2002

Armani Mania by Giorgio Armani

I was disappointed by this new Armani scent. It's a nice, fresh, and ordinary scent. Nothing distinctive or worth paying top dollar for. J. August 8/15/20
15 August 2002

Roma Uomo by Laura Biagiotti

I really cannot stand Romo Uomo. It has such a deeply pungent, sweet scent. I bought it hastily and tried the cologne, the Spray Deodorant, and The Shower Gel. It really was so strong and had an awful thick overly sweet scent, I felt nauseated! I know this is a fine House, but Laura sure didn't make me take my clothes off...it made me run for some fresh air
04 May 2002

Fath Pour l'Homme by Jacques Fath

Fath is a most unusual and warm, sensual scent. It may seem a bit too sweet if you use too much...as a little goes a long way. They also make a wonderful Spray Deodorant that is just as terrific. It's not sold everywhere and that's a plus, for me. I found both the cologne AND the Spray DEO. at Perfumebay.com. If you want, you can try one of the Deodorants and see if you like the scent. It's a rather undiscovered fragrance, but I find it a "winner."
04 May 2002

Xeryus Rouge by Givenchy

This is one of my favorites! I love the combination of Fresh and Warm and very Sensual, within a minute of putting it on. I find this one of the BEST. It's simple, but very classy and compliments seem to just some naturally. As with most scents, it does smell differently on different people. But if you like Warm and fresh and unusual and NOT over powering...than this may be the same Discovery for you, that it's been for me. They also make a GREAT Spray Deodorant, but it's impossible to find in the US. But even the Deo. alone, is a great fresher upper!

Weekend for Men by Burberry

Weekend is a very nice, lite, fresh fragrance...nice for casual wear. It's citrus and fresh and not in the least, heavy. I've enjoyed it, literally, for weekend wearing. It's easy duty and makes you feel fresh and relaxed
04 May 2002

1881 by Cerruti

If you like a very fresh, open, masculine scent, then 1881 is perfect for you. It's a "fresh from the shower" scent that's not at all "artificial," and it lasts a long time and smells just as good, as when you put it on. That said, it's also NOT a heavy scent. I find I keep trying the "new, new" scents, and forget that there are a world of great "flavors" out there. that have lasted, for a very good reason. 1881, is one of them.
01 April 2002

Rochas Man by Rochas

This is one of the best scents I've tried in years. It's very rich, warm, and unique. It lasts and it's great to just "sniff" yourself! I got lots of compliements from both women and men. Very classy...like most of the Rochas Scents
16 March 2002

Herrera for Men Refreshing Ginger by Carolina Herrera

Very classy, but I had a hard time distinguishing it from the Original Herrera! I'd test it before I bought it, if you're looking for Herrera Plus...it's pretty much Herrera Original, which I DO like, very much.
16 March 2002

Herrera for Men by Carolina Herrera

It's a terrific, rich scent that's rich, spicey, and warm. It's full bodied and very fresh. A real quality scent, that has lots of surprizes. I recommend it. josh august

A*Men / Angel Men by Thierry Mugler

I read Basenotes reviews before I tried Angel Men. I love it. It's one of the most "soothing" scents I've ever worn. It is sweet, but also very, very warm, long lasting, and completely unique. You smell like you just stepped out of a clean shower...all day! It's great!
16 March 2002

Ted Baker Skinwear by Ted Baker

I was knocked out by this great fragrance. I heard about on Basenotes. It's incredibly fresh and invigorating and very, very masculine, but not at all heavy. The spray deodorant and body wash are equally great! It kind of smells like great old barber shops use to smell. years ago. This one is worth a try. It's not easy to find, however. It's from London and not sold widely in the US. I got it through The Grooming Lounge, recommended on this site. The only thing as good and fresh as Skinwear...is Endurance...their brand new scent!
10 March 2002

Endurance by Ted Baker

I just tried this fragrance and I loved it! It's very similar to the other Ted Baker scent, Skinwear. They are both amazingly fresh and talk about a way to "wake up" in the morning. It's a hair sweeter than Skinwear, and I like the added lightness. But this, like Skinwear, is a very, masculine, fresh, and totally unique fragrance. People are just knocked out by it. Try it...it's not only different...it's great.
10 March 2002

Eau Sauvage by Christian Dior

I love this scent but do not wear it myself. I DO wear the Eau Sauvage Spray Deodorant. The only problem is finding it. I bought mine in Paris and may have to go back to re-stock! It's a great spray deodorant after a shower.
17 February 2002

Pi by Givenchy

I love 'pi' and loved it from the get go. Walked into Harrods in '99 and this great, warm, sensual scent waft over me. Harrods was introducing the fragrance and I bought it as well as the spray deodorant and have loved it ever since. I love the fresh and warm combination. I sometimes combine it with others ie: Roccabar (I know it sounds awful, but it kind of "perks" it up a bit). But on its own, I find this one of the great modern day scents.
