Cuiron Pour Homme by Helmut Lang
I am so angry that I missed the boat on this one. I recently got a 1mL sample and it is by far one of the most pleasant fragrances I've ever experienced. Clean and dirty at the same time. The prices for this now are absolutely ridiculous compared to what they were. I guess I'll just have to pay them...because I do like it enough to pay 80 bucks for a bottle. I put it on before going out with a few friends and I've never gotten so many compliments and so much attention from females because of a fragrance. It just oozes confidence. Sure its a bit modern but I think if it hadn't been discontinued it would eventually be a timeless classic. Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to try to get this rather comely creature to quit hugging the pillow I slept on last night and get something to eat...

Madame X by Ava Luxe
Towards the beginning, this was a lot more powdery than I thought it was going to be. I get this intense note that reminds of jojoba talc and it dominates for a while, but it doesn't entirely cover up the sexual animal underneath. After a good while this starts to get raunchy yet calculated and refined, and I say raunchy with the utmost praise. I had a hard time phrasing that sentence because its not quite right. It's not that the scent is ambiguous, but it just stirs up so much that I'm at a loss for concise words. This is fantastic on a woman, it drives me absolutely wild. A bit too powdery for a man, though it eventually backs off, but I think the right guy could still pull it off. Madame X is a seriously complex character, and I look forward to every meeting.
