On me it always smelled like smoke.

Of all 12 Limited Edition 'Ma Collection' de Jean Patou fragrances I used to wear, this one got the most positive responses, and it was my personal favorite as well.

According the the Limited 'Ma Collection' by Jean Patou's accompanying booklet, Jean Patou invented sun tanning lotion in 1927 and this was the fragrance used for it.

And that's exactly what Chaldee smells like - suntan lotion.

I am not sure whether Eau de Courreges is the same thing as the Courreges by Andre Courreges I had back around 1978. I don't recall where I bought it but I was living in Japan when I wore it. The bottle was of brilliant red translucent square glass having a large metal globe cap on top.

I recall it smelling aldehydic and "modern". Courreges in Blue was entirely similar to it, except "Blue" and maybe not so intense.

Courreges by Andre Courreges is my second most favorite fragrance of all time (after Arpege by Lanvin).
