| | Magnifique by LancômeThis definitely smells more of vaguely floral raspberry candy than the rose/wood combo that the sample card lists. This reminds me a bit of Kenzo's Amour Indian Holi, which is a much more interesting and pleasant take on a similar combination of elements. 29th November, 2008. |
| | Euphoria by Calvin KleinFor some reason, this is mostly wood , vetiver, and amber on me plus the orchid and something 'powdery,' which I find cloying (the violet?). Can't smell the fruit at all. This has elements of Youth Dew and Angel, both of which I like. However, this gives me a headache, even in small doses. 29th November, 2008. |
| | Aqua Allegoria Pamplelune by GuerlainAll of the elements of this are nice... the grapefruit is citrusy, (though not as sharp as I like), and the vanilla and patchouli are both present, pleasant, and accounted for. I love grapefruit/citrus, vanilla, and patchouli, separately and in MOST combinations, but do not enjoy the combination of grapefrut and patchouli together on my skin. The the long middle portion of Pamplelune smells like a lighter version of Angel's vanilla/patchouli sweetness, but without the overwhelming qualities that makes people love it or hate it, so it might be a nice lighter alternative to it. 6th September, 2008. |
| | Chocolovers by AquolinaSmells very similar to Pink Sugar, and whether you love it or hate it, you will more than likely feel similar about Chocolovers. 17th August, 2008. |
