| | Givenchy Gentleman by GivenchyGivenchy Gentleman was my introduction to French after shave lotions back in the late 1970s. The metallic label on my current bottle is dented, tattered and scratched from all of the packing and unpacking in my travel bag because it always goes with me. Scents evoke emotions and memories; GG reminds me of my time of personal discovery in the 1970s and I will never let it go. 6th March, 2009. |
| | Habit Rouge by GuerlainMy Guerlain shelf includes a bottle of Habit Rouge. Honestly, I seldom wear it. When I do wear Habit Rouge, it is because I am having an exceptional day. Habit Rouge is a maximum fragrance for a maximum kind of day, if you will. Habit Rouge takes you for a fast ride that lasts all day. Habit Rouge distinguishes itself easily and pleasantly and confidently, as do all the best fragrances from Guerlain. 2nd March, 2009. |
| | Guerlain Homme by GuerlainWell, I was quite eager to sample this latest scent from my favorite house. Upon arriving at the counter in Saks, I immediately asked for the tester bottle. My eagerness soon turned to disappointment. An exceptional disappointment over a quite ordinary scent. I debated with myself and almost bought a bottle anyway to add to my Guerlain collection, but in the end I did not. Life goes on. 19th January, 2009. |
| | Vetiver by GuerlainThis is my first review here at basenotes and, of course, I must review my favorite scent, Guerlain Vetiver. I use other scents at times, but mostly I reach for my Vetiver bottles. Clean, crisp, fresh, like having a bottle full of happiness, it makes me want to walk to our grassy meadow and lie down naked under the sun. Or the moon. Which I would, but there are bugs! I absolutely adore this scent. Thank you, Jean Paul. 20th August, 2008. |
