| | L'Eau D'Issey pour Homme by Issey MiyakeThis is a very nice aquatic that settles into a more refined soft spice in the dry down. Not a floral as other posters may suggest, you want floral try Guerlain. Definite longevity is a plus. 8th June, 2010. |
| | Cuir Mauresque by Serge Lutens Les Salons du Palais Royal ShiseidoThis has a uniquely sweet floral leather scent, if that makes any sense, that remains on me throughout the day. I wish it had more smoke and spice but I guess my Ph reacts differently. I don't hate it, but I'm not really sold on it either. 27th March, 2009. |
| | Jaïpur Homme by BoucheronThis scent was too sweet for me, borders on a feminine appeal. The silage is long lasting though. 27th February, 2009. |
| | Joseph Abboud by Joseph AbboudThis was a favorite of mine back in the early 90's and at one point I thought it was out of production, so it was pleasing to know EuroItalia is still producing this gem. 24th February, 2009. |
| | Rocabar by HermèsThis fragrance is very pleasant to wear, not overpowering and very suitable for daily wear. The cinnamon and cedar top and mid notes rest smoothly over the vanilla base, giving a nice dry down with decent longevity. 20th January, 2009. |
| | Givenchy Gentleman by GivenchyI get a strong vetiver scent on first application, and although I love certain vetivers this can be surprising if your not prepared for it. The dry down is much more pleasing for me although the patchouli tends to be stronger at first. Much preferred for evening wear, but can be used during winter months as well. 14th January, 2009. |
| | Héritage by GuerlainMy first review was for the EDT, now that I have tried and own the EDP, I must say, this is absolutely one of my favorites, if not THE FAVORITE. 4th November, 2008. (Last Edited: 3rd September, 2009.) |
| | Vétiver Extraordinaire by Editions de Parfums Frederic MalleThis one is very peppery to me, and after a few hours I'm unsure whether I like the dry down or not. It is strong and the silage is good, for a vetiver this may be my least favorite. 3rd November, 2008. |
| | Habit Rouge by GuerlainI tried to like this, I really did, but alas this is not for me, too much towards the floral notes. The powdery after notes are feminine for my tastes, possibly when I'm in my senior years I may ave a change of heart. 2nd November, 2008. |
| | Old Spice by Procter & GambleThis was one of my first fragrances back in the 70's and still is a reliable favorite, and classic. This fragrance has stood the test of time, for myself and I'm sure for many throughout. Inexpensive - Yes!, but price does not necessarily denote quality. 9th October, 2008. |
| | Jovan Musk for Men by JovanThis was a coming of age experience back in the mid 70's for me. And has stood the test of time, a classic in it's own regard, made for many a weekend night. 2nd October, 2008. |
| | Sandalwood by Art of ShavingFrom the first time I tested this scent, it was a very pleasant aroma and not so overbearing. The sandalwood is distinctly unique, I don't seem to catch the Eucalyptus in the top notes, and that is possibly just me. For me the longevity tapers off in strength and still is present after more than 10 hours. 30th September, 2008. |
| | Unforgivable by Sean JohnI can detect the citrus, but the basil and lavender are undetectable to me. Still has a pleasant scent, not very strong, the staying power is decent about 4-6 hours for me. The middle notes and base notes are unnoticeable, my sample was from a tester at Nordstrom, and the bottle appears different from the images I've seen. 15th September, 2008. |
