parfums*PARFUMS Series 7 Sweet: Burnt Sugar by Comme des Garçons

Exactly like the name says - it let's you smell like popcorn with lots of sugar on it. Tasty - yes.And I even believe that it could become some kind of very special favorite for some people. But too sweet, and a bit too "in your face" for my tastes. On the other hand, it was exactly what I expected it to be.

parfums*PARFUMS Series 7 Sweet: Nomad Tea by Comme des Garçons

Maybe the only fragrance of the whole new CdC-series I'm looking forward to wear at least once. It smeels like the sweet peppermint sticks given to children at Xmas in the US. At least, that's what I was told by a friend. Very fresh, peppermint and green tea, with a solid sweet, but not too sweet base. By far not so spicy like the series 3 "Peppermint". Of course not everybody's cup of tea :) but if you like the smell of tea with fresh peppermint on hot summer days, then you'll find this at least interesting and maybe worth a try. To be worn with humour and confidence, of course.

parfums*PARFUMS Series 7 Sweet: Wood Coffee by Comme des Garçons

From the whole series this was the one I was looking forward to the most, and it clearly failed to keep me interested after a second. I was expecting the smell of fresh coffee, like entering a french or italian cafÈ. Far from that, it smelled far more like spicy, dry wood than like coffee. Maybe it's my fault and misconception, but I found it too "sharp" for my tastes, and I normally adore fragrances with wood notes.

Frankincense & Myrrh by Czech & Speake

My holy grail for some years, and I still really like this one!
First, I don't really know where other people find lavender here, I strongly disagree.
That said, I totally agree with heresjohnny that it a mellow and "nice" fragrances.
It has notes of orange and oriental spices, but all rather chary and warm. Very smooth, light and balsamic, fits perfectly all day, all season. Very special and male, but in a understating way.
