Tuscany / Etruscan by Aramis

I like this fragrance for a couple of key reasons:

1. it's got a hint of everything; a little woody, a little sweetness/vanilla, a little aqua and masculinity all rolled into one, which makes it a bit mysterious and inviting.
2. it's unique and not mass market ... which makes it my little "secret".
3. I use it as a base for it's masculinity. And then if I want to push a little to the feminine side I might put on a sweeter scent just to blend it (e.g. le male) or if I"m going for a younger aquatic feel, I blend it a little with acqua di gio or something like that
4. anything that reminds me of tuscany - the actual place - will always be on my wardrobe - warm, beautiful, sunny days, peaceful ... breezy ...

Definitely my little kept secret away from the coolwater's of the world.

Joop! Homme by Joop!

Sweet and musty.
It's feminine.
I don't like it.
Burnt tires with candy thrown in.

Le Mâle by Jean Paul Gaultier

Let's face it. This is a GOOD smell.
However it can be a bit sweet and feminine depending on your taste.
The way I get around that is not to apply too much, and mix it up with something like a "refreshing/marine/masculine" smell like acqua di gio or cool water ... or if you are looking for a woody mix, something like calvin klein eternity or that new terre hermes stuff.
