DKNY Men (original) by Donna Karan

I'm pretty new to the whole world of appreciating fragrances for what they are, what they contain etc,and have become used to seeing comments on basenotes refferring to fragrances being 'boring','generic' and other such terms. To begin with I could never understand how a particular frag could be boring, however now that i've built up a bit of a collection and been testing more scents,I can fully appreciate those comments, as 'boring' is exactly how I feel about DKNY men.

This was a blind buy,but was so cheap(due to the bottle being chipped- what a
surprise!) that I couldn't resist buying it.It does indeed smell quite cheap, and sure,it's nice and fresh but smells like god knows how many other fragrances that i've got or owned in the past.To make matters worse I can barely detect it on the back of my hand after just 2 hours. If your fan of fresh scents,Moshino friends and Paul Smith's story are far better choices.

    ....added to my 'yawn' section.

Collection Homme Fruit de Bois by Jean-Charles Brosseau

I obtained a few samples of this from ebay: it is pleasantly refreshing but it's just far too light a fragrance for me.As signature pointed out,it's longevity is poor- in fact I found it had gone within around an hour,so fruit de bois is a no-no for me.

    Mister by Jasper Conran

It was cheap so I gave it a go...safe to say it's a bit of an aquired taste this one and although I do agree that initially it's a bit 'disinfectiny' and almost stripped the lining of my nose on the first smelling....I actually...er, kinda like it.It gradually settles down quite nice on me and reminds me a lot of tumulte, although mister is definitely the more potent.

    B*Men by Thierry Mugler

Absolutely love this stuff,it has quickly become one of my fav ever scents within a short time.Longevity and sillage are excellent, the caramel in there just keeps me smelling myself all day.B*men has given me quite a few good comments- except for a friend who told me I stunk of Brut a few days ago...um,no.Such a pity it's discontinued ,time to start stocking up methinks.
