Kelly Calèche by Hermès

Kelly Caleche smells just like a woman's handbag. When I first spray Kelly Caleche, I get strong earthy notes of what smells like mint and potting soil. The earthy scent lasts for about 5 minutes and then the leather notes start to pull through. Then it is a pure leather scent on my skin with powdery undertones. The florals do not stand out at all on me. Kelly Caleche smells exactly like the bottom of my purse, where the smells of powdered makeup and the leather of the handbag combine. A unisex scent that is worth a try if you like leathery scents. It is a classic, unique fragrance, but IMO, is very distinct and definately not for evertone.

Set Sail St. Barts for Women by Tommy Bahama

A great citrusy fragrance perfect for summer.

S de Scherrer by Jean-Louis Scherrer

To me this smells alot like Hypnotic Poison. S de Scherrer is an oriental/ vanilla fragrance that smells lovely on my skin. It is warm and sensual. I do not get any floral notes at all. S de Scherrer does differ a little from Hypontic Poison (HP has a distinctive playdough note and S de Scheffer does not). I absoutely love this fragrance. If you like Hypnotic Poison, definately give this one a try.

F by Ferragamo by Salvatore Ferragamo

I really love all of Salvatore Ferragamos fragrances with one exception......F by Ferragamo. This doesn't work for me at all. It really stinks!!!!!! It smells like a mix of overly sweet candy, florals, and cough syrup on my skin. There is also a stale or old note that I can not pinpoint. IMO, the mixture of notes do not flow well. Very heavy and sticky. All I can say is.........Yuck, and thats an understatement!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Intimately Beckham Women by Beckham

Very pretty floral fragrance that has very light powdery undertones (IB does not smell like powder). Very feminine and very pleasant scent to my nose. IMO, this scent is ageless and can be worn by anyone. It is not overpowering and it is great for work because it is so light and inoffensive. Although it is light, it is noticeable and catches attention. Overall it is a beautiful fragrance, it is definately worth giving it a try....

Cashmere Mist by Donna Karan

This is not my favorite scent, but I find it wearable. It is o.k. and it does smell nice. I would catergorize this as a powder fragrance. It is one dimensional with a predominate note of powder mixed with a very faint spiced note on my skin. I find it innofensive, airy, light, and soft...perfect for a hot day. I wear CM when I want a "SAFE" fragrance choice. It is a feminine/ girly scent, and reminds me of a baby (the powder note). I give it a 3 out of 5 because it it is wearable, but I don't think it is for me. I wouldn't purchase CM again...but if you like powdery fragrances, give this one a try.

Princess by Vera Wang

I bought this for the pretty heart shaped bottle although I could live without the ring topper. The scent somewhat surprised me as I find it wearable. I thought it was going to be too girly or overly sweet but IMO it is not. Princess has a sweetness to it but it is mild. Although there is warm quality in the fragrance I find the notes to be a bit dull. There is a girly quality to it. It is wearable....just not for me. I won't repurchase this one but I will keep the bottle.

Bright Crystal by Versace

The huge crystal stopper that looks like a diamond and the pink liquid inside the bottle caught my eye...I just had to try it...and then I purchased a FB. The bottle is so adorable, and yes I am a sucker for perfume bottles as much as I am perfume =). I like this scent but I like the bottle even better. Bright Crystal is a lovely, uplifting fruity/ floral. The staying power is o.k. (2-3 hours) I wish it lasted longer. It is innofensive and just smells wonderful on my skin. Very feminine, girly scent that I would wear for any occasion. Bright Crystal is a keeper for me.

Nautica Bermuda Blue by Nautica

Bermuda Blue is a nice summer scent that reminds me of the beach. It doesn't last very long on my skin (about an hour or two). It is a light, clean floral but has a slight warmthness to it. Bermuda Blue is somewhat ordinary and plain to me...It doesn't have that 'wow' factor but it is very wearable. A casual fragrance that can be worn with jeans and a t-shirt. Perfect for a day on the beach, or when you want a 'play it safe' fragrance. Although it is wearable, it is a bit oridnary for me...I probably wouldn't repurchase this one once it is finished.

Noa by Cacharel

Noa is very subtle and hard to describe when you first spray it on. After Noa settles on my skin, it is a soft floral with a powdery base. Noa is sheer, fresh, and clean. It has a feminine quality to it, and it smells soooooooo good. IMO, Noa is elegant and posesses a unique quality that makes it special. The soft delicate scent of Noa has amazing sillage. Very light, crisp, and airy. I have received many compliments with Noa...It captivates the attention of others even when I can't smell it anymore....definately a fragrance worth trying.

FCUK Her by French Connection

The only reason I purchased this fragrance was out of curiousity. I wondered what it smelled because of the name. When I look at the bottle, I find it heavy and plain and the name is somewhat offensive "Fcuk Her" (Your mind fills in and adjusts for misspelled words)....but back to the fragrance...I found a great deal on a 3.4 oz NIB (under $20.00 Free Shipping) on eBay. I am so glad I purchased it. I absoutely LOVE this scent even though I don't like the name at all. I think it is one of the best smelling fragrances I own. Very clean, very sexy, and very distinctive. Light but longlasting, seductive and sparkling. I choose this perfume quite often and with the price....you can't go wrong. Because of the W-O-N-D-E-R-F-U-L notes in this fragrance, there will always be a place for Fcuk Her in my wardrobe. I am always complemented on this fragrance when I wear it. I would give it more than 5 stars + based on the scent.

Chance by Chanel

Chance is a nice fragrance that works well with my skin's chemistry. I would classify Chance as a citrusy/ floral with little hints of wood and spice. It is powerful so a couple of squirts go a long way. I would say Chance is a fragrance I would choose if I wanted to play it safe, perfect for the office. Clean and sophisticated, very long lasting, and absolutely triggers my positive thinking. There is a energetic/ positive quality about Chance that keeps me going and lifts me up when I wear it. It is fresh, sparkling, vibrant, and light which makes Cnance a perfect Summer/ Spring scent.

Armani Code for Women by Giorgio Armani

When I smell Armani Code, I immediately think of Hypnotic Poison and Alien. IMO, they have many simalarities. I would classify this fragrance as a gourmand/ oriental fragrance. Hints of warm vanilla, orange blossom, and soothing honey. Sweet, but not overly sweet...warm and cozy but light, soft, and subtle at the same time. Very feminine and pretty. The bottle is absoutely gorgous...I probably would have bought it just for the bottle, so it is a plus that the juice inside smells nice. I like wearing Armani Code on special or romantic occasions...

J'Adore by Christian Dior

J'Adore is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G and is one of my absolute favorites! I would classify this perfume as a clean smelling white floral. J'Adore lasts for hours and hours (On me it lasts more than 8 hours). It is classy, elegant, enchanting, and feminine. J'Adore is a high quality, high concentrated product, rather than a watered down fragrance. The scent is gorgeous! It is subtle, light, and airy but is still strong enough to turn heads when you walk by...what amazing sillage! I always get compliments when I wear J'Adore from both men and women. This fragrance can be worn day or night and is perfect for any occasion. I love everything about this fragrance...it is absoutely breathtaking!

Rumeur (new) by Lanvin

The one perfume from Lanvin that I can honestly say is not a favorite is Rumeur. The scent feels very disbalanced and uncertain. On my skin it is very uneasy, the notes clash together and I can't detect any of the notes in this fragrance. It is heavy and plain. IMO Rumeur is not horrible, but it is definately not for me. I absoutely adore and admire Eclat D'Arpege from Lanvin, but I can't say the same for Rumeur.

Pink Sugar by Aquolina

I love gourmand scents but Pink Sugar passes the gourmand catergory and falls into the pure candy catergory. I can't stand overly sweet candy scents and Pink Sugar is no exception. I thought Brittany Speares Fantasy was too sweet, but Pink Sugar takes the cake of being tooooo sweet by a lanslide. It is soooo strong that it gave me a toothache and headache just by smelling it. It smells like pure cotton candy to my nose (I do not get a burnt smell or licorice smell at all). I can't wear this scent but I will keep the sample vial to sniff every time I am craving something sweet, I think it will do the trick to keep me away from eating sweets. I cringe when I smell Pink Sugar, it reminds me of the cotton candy machine at the fair. This is a pure cotton candy smelling scent that is strong, sweet, and overly agressive for my taste...Yuck!

Missoni Acqua by Missoni

An aquatic fruity/ floral. If you like fruity/ florals, it is a nice fresh summer scent. It is a clean melon note that is perfect for a day on the beach. When I first sprayed my sample of Missoni Acqua, I got a blast of watermelon, canteloupe, and bubble gum which lasted about 5 minutes. The dry down was much nicer with a light, some what sweet fruity/ floral scent. Very interesting and mellow on my skin. I like it, but not enough to purchase a full bottle.....maybe another sample.

L'Eau D'Issey by Issey Miyake

L'Eau D'Issey is a clean floral and it remids me alot of Nautica women (IMO, they smell very similar). It does not smell bad but it is an ordinary scent. Nothing special but some what wearable. I would say this is a non offensive choice if you want to play it safe when choosing a fragrance. It reminds me of the 90's when I used to wear Nautica, it is not my type of fragrance......

Angel by Thierry Mugler

I found Angel very nauseating every time I have tried it. I find it strong, harsh, and loud. When Angel is first sprayed, I smell an unbearable mix of camphor oil and vix vapor rub. YUCK!!!! Angel is very strong and bitter in the opening notes and then dries down to a bittery sweet, chocolate/ patchouli scent (the camphor oil smell still remains, it gets a little lighter because the chocolate/ honey notes that pull through). I appreciate the contrast between the top and base notes, but IMO it is way too strong and almost intolerable. The notes of patchouli are especially overwhelming as it hits you straight in the face and continues to pull through the other notes. Every time I have tried Angel, I ended up scrubbing it off (after I started feeling sick). It is so strong that Angel still remains on my skin after it is scrubbed off.

Angel causes me to have migraines, feelings of nausea, and sneezing. I would consider your surroundings when you wear Angel. It is sooooo strong, it has the ability to make someone sick to their stomach...especially me!!!!

The bottle is stunning but it stops there for me. There are so many other fragrances that smell wonderful on me and don't cause nausea and headaches, I am staying FAR, FAR away from Angel!!!! I think Alien is a better smelling scent, at least on me it is.

28 March 2009

Alien by Thierry Mugler

I prefer Alien over Angel any day!! I find Angel nauseating, so you might want to give Alien a try if Angel didn't work for you. Angel is very harsh while Alien is a warm, semi-sweet, floriental that is sexy and seductive. There is a mysterious quality to Alien that draws me in every time I wear it. This is one of my favorites and I reach for it on special occasions. When I first spray Alien, the notes are a bit strong and somewhat cloying, but within 2-4 minutes it quickly fades into a wonderful floriental that I can't get enough of. Alien lasts about 3 hours on me and then it wears close to the skin for another 3-4 hours. The main notes in Alien are jasmine with undertones of deep, warm woods and a little hint of amber. If I apply too much of Alien, it gives off a synthetic note that slowly fades away with time. Alien is beautiful when applied in small amounts. It's also very feminine and sensual.

When I think of Alien, I think of a sultry, beautiful woman standing by a wooden garden surrounded by jasmine flowers. As the wind blows, the scent of jasmine and deep woods linger in the air while she waits for her lover. The moonlight is glowing on her skin as he slowly approaches. The lovely scent surrounds her and it entices him. He is completely drawn to her....he gives her a passionate kiss, lifts her up and carries her away under the moonlight .......

IMO, this scent is very romantic... just lovely!

Notorious by Ralph Lauren

This scent has mixed personalities on me-sometimes it is a bit cloying and I do not care for it, but other times it smells great. I do reach for Notorious from time to time, but before I spray, I always wonder "how is it going to smell on me today?" The scent is very warm and bold and has a soft woodsy base to it. I do not smell any fruity or sweet notes in this one at all. It is a complex scent that is different from other perfumes on the market. I would say that this could even pass as a unisex scent. IMO, this is a woodsy/ floral that is somewhat grown up. Notorious is not your typical teen/ younger girls fragrance, I think it would suit an older, mature woman better.

Cheap and Chic I Love Love by Moschino

I love love C&C reminds me of D&G Light Blue. IMO, these scents are very similar almost exactly alike (I was asked on several occasions while wearing I love love, if I was wearing Light Blue). I really like both scents LB and I Love Love. It is a very clean/ citrus smelling scent. I find it very refreshing when I put it on. It's not overpowering and it is very light. This seems to wear off after 2-3 hours so I have to re-apply several times throught the day. I love love smells very similar to Light Blue IMO...I would rather buy I love love because it is much cheaper than Light Blue and the staying power power is about the same. It is a fresh, clean, citrus scent that smells really good.

Blush by Marc Jacobs

When I first tried blush I wasn't sure if I liked it. When I first spray Blush, I get a black licorice note (that is all I smell for the first 15 minutes). I don't hate the licorice note but I am glad that it develops into a slightly spicy floriental 15 minutes after application. That is where this fragrance made me return to purchase. Blush is soft, clean, and gentle with a sweet/ spicy contrast on my skin (the spicy contrast kinda smells like soft hints of cinnamon and cloves). It is absoutely lovely! A floriental with a creamy/ powdery drydown with a contrast of spice. This fragrance is simple and it works well with my chemistry. I only wear this on special occasions or when I am in the mood for something beautiful and gentle.

Sui Dreams by Anna Sui

The bottle drew me in...I had to test this fragrance when I saw it. It is shaped like a purse with puffed frosted glass detail on the outside of the bottle and a detailed pewter handle for the strap. The blue juice is nested perfectly inside. I was plesantly surprised when I first sprayed Sui Dreams on my arm. I love this fragrance...a light sweetness of orange creamsicles. It is soft, mild, and innofensive. It is a floriental to my nose with notes of vanilla, sandalwood, tangerine, bergamot, peony, and bitter orange. It has a warmthness to it, and would be perfect and gentle when you want a subtle scent that is noticable but doesn't scream attention. This has worked for me in both colder and warmer weather. This is an innocent fragrance that is delicate and very feminine. I can't help but sniff my self and the little bit of sillage it gives off when I wear this. This is a keeper in my wardrobe...I would definately repurchase Sui Dreams. It is a lovely fragrance...

Cheap and Chic Hippy Fizz by Moschino

I like to wear Hippy Fizz when I am in the mood for a fresh lemony/ citrus scent. It has notes of citrus, greens, and light flowers which is not sharp or offensive. When Hippy Fizz is first sprayed I get a strong lemon note but it is not overpowering. The drydown becomes a soft citrus/ green floral note and it hugs close to the skin. It doesn't last all day and needs reapplication every couple of hours. This is not a sexy scent or a head turner, but I would say this scent fits its name--"hippy" because of the floral notes and "fizzy" because of the citrus notes. This is not a complicated scent at all, but it is a happy and energizing one that lifts my spirits when I wear it. The citrus/ lemon notes make this perfect for a summer scent (Light and fresh, it is not sticky at all). If you are looking for a fresh, clean, citrus fragrance, I would recommend Hippy Fizz.

V by Valentino

V is a gourmand scent to my nose. Upon initial application, I get a black licorice note tha reminds me of Deep Red by Hugo Boss (lasts about ten minutes.) After that, V becomes a warm woodsy vanilla scent on me. V kinda reminds me of Hypnotic Poison after the drydown, IMO there are some similarities between these two fragrances. I get a vanilla/ playdough note at times when I wear V and I also get that same note in Hypnotic Poison (IMO, the differences between the two are-V has a spiced vanilla note and Hypnotic poison has a regular vanilla note). I really like the combination of notes blended together in V. Every time I wear this, I am asked "what are you wearing" or "you smell good". V is a spicy, sexy, feminine fragrance that is very sensual...I reach for this one quite often.

Ed Hardy Woman by Christian Audigier

I bought this fragrance because I liked the uniqueness of the "rebel" tatoo images that are on the sleeve of the bottle. The juice inside is completely different from thoes "rebel" images. The fragrance smells good to my nose but it does not match the "toughness" that the packaging represents. TAlthough it smells good, this scent to me is a bit juvenile and not my type of fragrance. When I first apply Ed Hardy, I get a fruity/ floral note (more fruity than floral.) This perfume smells exactly like watermelon jolly ranchers to me. My problem is that it doesn't have any longevity AT ALL. After 15 minutes the strength diminishes (on me, the only way I can smell it is to put my nose directly on my wrist and sniff my skin closely) and even doing that the scent is very faint...I will use this on occasion and keep the bottle for decoration after it is finished. The fragrance is alright, I would give it 2-3 stars (I would not re-purchase this one). On the other hand, the bottle would get 5+ stars...I Love, Love, Love the bottle!
20 February 2009

Sui Love by Anna Sui

Let me start by saying that the bottle is adorable. I bought this fragrance because of the unique bottle. The scent is o.k. but it seems like there is something missing in the formulation. It smells kinda like a muted note of candy (like the candy neclaces you bite off the string that you find in the 50 cent machines in the grocery stores) even smells a little like pez candy. I really can't detect any particular note in this fragrance. The fragrance is plain and simple and somewhat bland. When I am choosing a fragrance to wear, this never makes the cut...but I love the way the bottle looks on dispaly. I don't hate the fragrance, I think it is very ordinary and just not me.
20 February 2009

Envy Me by Gucci

A crisp, clean, and fresh smelling perfume. It is a beautiful light scent that smells sooooo good. It is sexy and feminine but not sensual. Everytime I put it on, it reminds me of soft gentle breeze - What's not to like about this fragrance? It's flowery, slightly spicy, and fruity all rolled into one. Gucci Envy Me has an interesting, but sweet smell. The only down fall is that it does not last as long as I would like, I have to re-apply several times during the day. I wish it lasted longer because I love the way this fragrance smells.
20 February 2009

Daisy by Marc Jacobs

I received this as a gift. At first I did not like Daisy (There was something sweet and artificial about it that made me want to wash it off and I did). Because of the cute rubbered daisys that adorn the cap, I was persistant with trying this fragrance. I am glad that I gave it a chance to 'settle in my skin' without washing it off because I would have never found it's hidden beauty, the white floral notes. I actually appreciate and wear Daisy now because I like it. The first sprays are of artificial sweet fruit. I still do not like the artificial sweet notes in the opening, but I have learned to deal with it because the artificial sweetness of the fruitiness fade and a plesant white floral remains (about 20 minutes after the dry down). This is where it is at for me, the white florals are soft and beautiful which eventually mix with powdery undertones. Being that I am not too fond of the opening, I usually wear Daisy when I have time to wait before I leave my house...I wait until the sweetness leaves and the beautiful white florals kick in. I give thumbs up for the adorable bottle and for the middle and ending notes. The middle and ending notes have amazing longevity, about 6 hours or more on me...if I were just judging on the opening notes it would be thumbs down (I am very greatful that the opening only lasts 20 minutes or so).

True Star by Tommy Hilfiger

You'll either love it or hate it. I LOVE this scent! True Star's scent is subtle, feminine, fresh, and clean with a hint of sexy innocence. True Star is light (not strong or overpowering). It is hard to describe this fragrance as it is watery but not aquatic, sweet but not gourmand, powdery but not powder. It is light and fresh and has a unique make-up of complex notes that smell good. This can be worn anytime of the day and has amazing longevity on me. IMO, this fragrance is ageless and I would always have a bottle of TS in my collection. 5+ stars for me.
11 February 2009

Roxy by Roxy

This is a delicate feminine fragrance. This fragrance is fresh and light. In the beginning, all I smell is fruit (notes of peaches, berries, and citrus) and it is very sweet. Within minutes the drydown begins and the sweetness starts to subside. The floral notes of lilly and violet begin to pull through the fruity notes. I also detect notes of ylang ylang. I also get hints of musk with some amber when the base notes start to come in. The base notes work in harmony with the floral notes (middle notes) as they make this fragrance a beautiful floral scent. This would be a good scent for spring or summer.
11 February 2009

Incanto Bliss by Salvatore Ferragamo

I just received a tester of Bliss off of eBay and I am happy with my purchase. I am not sure if it launched yet but this is the newest addition to the incanto line. At the beginning (The first 5 minutes) I smell alcohol but that fades quickly. Once this settles on the skin I get notes of freesia, lily, and rose with little hints of musk (the lilly and freesia being the predominant of the floral notes). This is a soft floral fragrance to me that warms up a little with light wood notes. It is very pretty and delicate. This is a feminine "girly" floral. It is a light fragrance and it is not overpowering, I find that it wears close to the skin after 30 minutes or so. I do not find this fragrance sweet or fruity at all. It is definately a clean floral to my nose. If you like soft florals give this one a try.

Juicy Couture by Juicy Couture

I love the Juicy fragrance line (can't say the same for their clothes). Juicy is completly different from Viva La Juicy (I like them both). I love the etched glass bottle with the beauitful crystal stopper, and the charms/ neclace that decorate it. Juicy is primarly a floral fragrance with powdery undertones. There is also a presence of turbose, rose, watermelon, and citrus. The citrus and rose keep it very light and springy while the watermelon gives it a sweet kick. Juicy is a floral fragrance on me with a little hint of sweetness. This is a great perfume for summer or warm weather (In Florida where I live, it's almost summer year round). It is a stronger scent that last a good part of the day on me (About 4-5 hours) but it is not overpowering at all.
06 February 2009

Miss Dior Chérie by Christian Dior

I do not like overly sweet scents. This is a very sweet fragrance but it is not too sweet, it is a wearable sweet to me. When I first started using MDC, I wasn't sure if it worked for me. This fragrance grew on me! I love mixing MDC with other fragrances in my collection. This is a sexy scent great for a night out. I love wearing it.
06 February 2009

Lauren Style by Ralph Lauren

When I first saw this perfume, the pink juice made me think that it had a powder base to it (It does not). LS is a clean/ fresh floral on me (I do not smell the fruit notes at all). It is very nice for the office/ daytime because it is not overpowering. This one seems to last an hour or two and then it wears close to the skin. It is a bit ordinary and simple, but it smells very good...It is perfect when you want to wear a light/ clean fragrance.
06 February 2009

Viva La Juicy by Juicy Couture

I do not care for the Juicy clothing line or their accessories but I like their fragrances. Viva La Juicy is a very well put together fragrance. It was a bit strong when I first applied it, but I sprayed myself all over (pratically bathed in it). That was a big mistake...I had a small headache because it was a bit cloying. I tried VLJ again with a few distant sprays and applied more as needed. What an interesting mixture of notes...hints of jasmine, amber, and sweet berries pulling through gourmands of vanilla, caramel, and praline...mmmmm. I do not smell the gardenia note at all. This fragrance is warm and rich and mixes well with my skin's chemistry. The packaging, bow, and jewerly attached to the bottle gives a special added touch. I don't think I would wear this in the day because it can be a bit heavy...I think it is better suited for an evening out.
31 January 2009

In Black by J del Pozo

I own most of J del Pozo's scents and they are all unique...this is no exception! When In black is first sprayed, I get a spicy black licorice and black cherry note. Within 15 minutes or so from the initial application, a mysterious, sensual, darkness starts to emerge. I would classify this as a spicy oriental/ fruity/ floral...if that makes sence (It does NOT smell like pure fruit or flowers at all)! IMO, a male could probably pull this fragrance off because there are many mascueline notes of spices and smoky woods. I think I also smell hints of rose and patchouli throught the intensity of the other notes. Once this mellows out on my skin, it reminds me of flavored tobacco (smells kinda like a black-n-mild filled with lusch cherry tobacco). I only wear In Black when I feel daring enough to wear a unique bold scent. The complexity in In Black is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G and I admre that in a fragrance, even if I can't wear it every day!

DKNY Be Delicious by Donna Karan

I did not smell apples at all, on me it was more of a green floral fragrance. It is light but I don't really like the overpowering strength of the cucumber note in this one. Personally, the cucumber is a bit much in this one and the combination of notes isn't for me. It doesn't smell bad, some may think it smells nice. It is quite expensive (almost $50.00 for 1.7 oz bottle), so why does it remind me of an overpriced fruity/ green body splash? I also think that the round bottle and the sprayer on the top makes it a bit awkward to handle (it might be me because I have smaller hands?) I just don't know about this one...maybe if I keep using it, it the cucumber scent will grow on me? There is one problem though...it is lacking in the longevity department, it doesn't last very long on me (less than an hour) maybe I tried a bad bottle? or maybe it's just me? For now Be Delicious remains neutral in my book.

Burberry London by Burberry

I love this fragrance. It smells very expensive and makes me feel like a million bucks. It is long lasting but not overpowering, and it is very light and feminine. This scent is fresh, subtle, and tasteful. The top notes contain rose and honeysuckle. There middle notes have peony and jasmine and the base notes have hints of sandalwood and musk. (I may have left a few notes out, but thoes are the notes I smell). When I first spray Burberry London (fabric edition), for some reason I sometimes smell traces of fruit (blackberry and grapes) but after the drydown (2-3 minutes) the combination of notes together is NOT fruity at all. It is definately a fabulous warm floral that is soft enough to wear to work, and sexy enough to wear out. This is not as sweet as other burberry fragrances and it is very elegant and sophisticated.
11 December 2008

Red Door by Elizabeth Arden

I can't tell what any of the notes are in this fragrance because they don't stand out. Red door is very strong and smells "old". I can't pin point what it is but it reminds me of old ladies playing bingo that wear excessive amounts of perfume. I also think of older church ladies when I smell this one. Too perfume-y with emphasis on the fume-y. Way too strong, the odor of the perfume is so strong that you can smell it for hours after someone leaves. Definitely not for someone who likes a soft, subtle scent. If you are looking for a bold scent, and don't mind smelling like an old lady, this might work. Personally, I don't like the way this one smells at all!!! Yuck!
11 December 2008

White Diamonds by Elizabeth Taylor

I would give it 4 thumbs down if I could. I received this as a gift one year and WOW talk about strong. This stuff could probably knock out a small animal. This is one of the worst smelling perfumes I have smelled. It was so bad that I couldn't even re-gift it, my sister or my mom wouldn't take it. It doesn't smell good on anybody that I know that has worn this. It is strong, sharp, and overpowering. It kinda smells like something my grandma would wear. It smells cheap and inexpensive. WARNING: It's also an instant headache in a bottle (for me, one sniff and and instant headache and nausea symptoms begin.) If diamonds actually smelled like this fragrance, I wouldn't own any...I would probably have cubic zirconia. I like the sents that make you smell good...This one does not, It really stinks...Awful in my opinion...It actually is quite sickening...When someone enters the room wearing this it makes me wonder what they are trying to cover up! Yuck.

360 Degrees for Women by Perry Ellis

I can't believe that this perfume has so many bad reviews. The first time I purchased Perry Ellis 360 was in 1995. I used to wear this in high school and I loved it (It is very powerful, so too much can cause a headache, but a light application smells very nice.) I've continued to use it but not as frequent as I did in highschool. I tend to like more complex fragrances now (I guess I grew out of this one.) I still wear it from time to time and get asked "What is that beautiful scent, you smell so good" or "What are you wearing and where can I get it?" I would describe the openning as a very strong metalic note but that fades quickly on me...then it is a plesant light fruity/ floral fragrance with a touch of musk & amber. I do not think it smells horrible at all, It actually smells pretty good on me but it's just not my style anymore.

Sweet Honesty by Avon

I grew up as a young girl wearing this scent, it brings back wonderful memories. It is powdery clean scent with a hint of soft musk that reminds me of a baby's innocence. It smells alot like baby powder. It is perfect for a younger girl or teenager, but I think older women can wear it too. If you have sensitive skin or do not like overpowering strong perfumes, give this one a try. It is very soft and mild and smells soooooo clean. It is very affordable but unfortunately doesn't last very long. I personally don't wear this out of the house. I only use this fragrance after showering right before I go to sleep. It is very light and very claming (It relaxes me, guess you could say kinda like my aromatherapy). Every time I spray it, it brings out the little girl inside me. Sometimes you just want to go back into childhood, and this will definately take you there.

Midnight Poison by Christian Dior

I don't hate it, but don't completely like it either. At first it is very heavy and nauseating scent that made me want to scrub it off immediately. Unfortunately I was at the mall and couldn't. Eventually, the very strong smell of synthetic leather wore away and left a smell that kinda reminded me of Brittney Speares Midnight Fantasy (funny how both names have midnight in them). The color, the name, and even the juices bear an uncanny resemblance to each other - the plum-ey sweetness with florals and clean patchouli. Go smell them and you will know what I mean! I do not like to buy celebrity fragrances because of many different reasons. Maybe that's why I don't like this one, or maybe it is the horrific smell in the opening notes. The scent may be wearable for some but I don't think it is for me. I'm still not sure about this one.

Hypnotic Poison by Christian Dior

I should begin by saying that about a year ago, I could NOT stand this scent! But, I had only sniffed the spray nozzle and spritzed a piece of paper from the mall. No, no, no, no, no. That is not the way to smell this fragrance. Just recently, I felt like trying this out on my skin because of all the rave reviews and also smelling it on a friend. That compelled me to give it a whirl again, but this time I tried it on my skin. I misted my wrist from a good distance, and immediately it smelled beautiful, very alluring scent! Yup, it was the Hypnotic Poison that I had just sprayed. Wow, who knew? I let it sit for about 10 minutes, and sniffed my wrist. One words: HEAVEN. This is one captivating scent! It is a vanilla scent, but not your typical sugary sweet vanilla scent. It's not foody at all. Very mellow and deep. I think the bitter almond note tames the sweetness of the vanilla. If you spray too much, you might get a root beer and playdough scent from it, but if you mist it, and then wait, it should begin to work very well.

It's a bit pricey though. The 1.7 oz retails at $56 and the 3.4 oz is I believe about $78. It comes in an interesting red, apple shaped bottle with a black, rounded top. You can't really see how much fragrance you have left, so that's a slight downfall. Although I like heavy glass perfume bottles, this bottle truly suits the scent it holds.

Lasting power is AMAZING. This will last you all day and then some. I would go very, very, easy on the sprays. Too much will certainly ruin this fragrance and make you and others sick to their stomachs.

Pure Poison by Christian Dior

This is HANDS DOWN one of my favorite perfumes. This scent to me smells like: A little bit of vanilla, jasime, sweet amber musk, orange, and more. It's complex but so simplistic and beautiful. People compliment me on it all the time. My sister said she found her new favorite scent after smelling it on me. It is so seductive, yet very sweet and innocent. It also wears well ALL DAY LONG. It can be worn in the day, but I recomend it for use at night. It's the perfect perfume. This fragrance has a mysterious sex appeal to it, and it is sensual and invigorating. Pure poison smells beautiful. That is the best way I can describe it. After trying Pure Poison, Hypnotic Poison, and Midnight Poison, I would say that Pure Poisn is my favorite but Hypnotic Poison is close behind. I can't say the same of Midnight Poison, that is one fragrance I couldn't wait to scrub off my arm. Pure poison very lady like and classy. A few light sprays is all you need, if you wear too much of it, it will lose it's appeal.

French Vanilla by Dana

I like hints of vanilla in perfumes, but I am not one to like straight vanilla scents, I can't stand vanilla fields or vanilla musk by coty, there is something about them that I just don't like. French Vanilla by Dana is quite different. I first tried this about 8 years ago (my mom bought it as a Christams gift). It wasn't a perfume, it was a splash (like the bath and body works splashes). I couldn't get enough of it. It had a definate vanilla note but there were other notes that worked beautifully with it. It lasted all day long and I really enjoyed it. I shocked myself because I never pictured myself liking a pure vanilla fragrannce. Nedless to say, I eventually ran out and couldn't find it anywhere. I came across the actual perfume a year or so later and was soooo excited that I purchased it, but found that it didn't smell exactly the same as the splash. I don't know what was different about it, but something definately was. It could have been the concentration? I'm not sure. The actual pefume is wearable but I would much prefer to wear the splash version. Too bad I haven't been able to find the splash version in 8 years, I would definately purchase it. The perfume I don't think I would buy again. I would recomend the perfume to a vanilla fragrance lover.

Very Sexy for Her by Victoria's Secret

I have used this fragrance for the past eight years, and I still love it. This is a very sexy feminine scent that is vibrant and sensuous. It is spicy and sweet at the same time. It is not too heavy and the scents blend together well. These feminine notes have a blend of pimento, clementine, cactus flower, camellia, hydrangea, mimosa, white amber, musk, vanilla, and blackberries. I get many compliments when I wear this fragrance and I feel very sexy and confident when I wear it. It is a romantic fragrance that will catch that special someone's attention. As long as they keep manifacturing it, I will keep using it. For some reason I can't get enough of this perfume. I can't say the same for Very sexy for her 2 (I don't like it at all).
20 November 2008

Duende by J del Pozo

Another winner from Jesus Del Pozo. This is a refreshing, aquatic fragrance. This is a feminine scent that possesses a blend of notes that include mandarin, melons, bergamot, jasmine, and mimosa. I think it also has notes of ylang ylang. It is a beautiful floral scent that is accompanied by sandalwood and cedar. It is light, crisp, and clean smelling. It is very simple and is not overpowering. This is a scent that you wear when you want to smell good, but don't want people to notice your perfume before they notice you. This is definately a scent that can be worn to work, I wear it in the office all the time.
20 November 2008

In White by J del Pozo

This is another winner by Jesus Del Pozo. The bottle is very beautiful and the scent is original and unique, like all of J Del Pozo's perfumes. This perfume is like a blast of flowers at first and then dries down to a feminine boquet of flowers with a very little hint of sweetness. I just love the way these notes blend together beautifully. Eyery time I wear In White it changes my mood, it is like having happiness in a bottle. Every time I smell this scent it makes me smile =). This perfume is not easy to find but is well worth a try if you do come across it.

Curve for Women by Liz Claiborne

On me, curve smells like a boquet of fresh cut flowers. It is very acquatic and fresh. It smells good on me and I feel like I am in a garden surrounded by beautiful flowers. I used to wear this perfume all the time and I loved it, but now I don't seem to like it as much. I don't know why because it is very wearable, but for some reason I seem to over look it when I'm choosing a fragrance to wear. There are other scents by Clairborne that are a little less floral and smell better on me like Vivid ( my favorite) and Curve Crush.
16 November 2008

On Ella by J del Pozo

This scent is different from the usual scents I wear. First of all the bottle is beautiful, it looks like a green champaign bottle filled with potion. When I first sprayed it, the scent reminded me of a mixture of spices, burning wood, and chocolate. I wasn't quite sure if I liked it. After about 15 to 20 minutes, the burning wood smell faded it remained spicy and then became a sweet, sensual, floral fragrance with citrus undertones. This sent is very unusual as all other Jesus Del Pozo scents are, but that is what makes themt unique. I wouldn't wear this every day, but would use it for a romantic occasion. When I wear it I feel sexy and confident. It believe it is a sensual erotic fragrance.
14 November 2008

Brit by Burberry

When I first spray this on me, it smells like pure rubbing alcohol, but after about 10 minutes the smell of alcohol fades and a sweet heavenly smell is left. Thankful that the heavenly scent is the one that lasts on me throught the day. I really don't care for sweet smelling perfumes that smell like candy. This perfume is not sweet like candy but more of a sweet scent of vanilla and almonds. It is sweet but is rich and warm at the same time. I don't know what it is but there is something about this perfume that I can't get enough of.
13 November 2008

Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue by Dolce & Gabbana

I really like this scent. It is a very clean smelling scent,it kinda reminds me of lemony fresh laundry. I find it very refreshing when I put it on. I think it's a lot different than other perfumes in the sense that it's not overpowering. It is perfect for the office or everyday use. The only thing that i do not like about the EDT is the staying power. Then scent wears off too fast, I find myself re-applying throught the day. Other than that I would recommend this to anyone who prefers something that's light and classic.

13 November 2008

Vivid by Liz Claiborne

This is one of my favorite perfumes. All notes blend together and compliment eachother beautifully. It smells very good with my skins chemistry, when I wear it I can't help but sniff myself throught the day. It smells like a very light floral with amber and vanilla hints (at least on me it does). It has a very clean and fresh smell that has a slight sweetness to it. It also has staying power, on me it lasts from day to night without reapplying. I love this perfume and recomend to all who haven't tried it. It is not overpowering but is strong enough catch someone's attention. I always get compliments when I wear it from both men and women. To me it is romantic, enchanting, alluring, and femminine. Vivid is something special with a mysterious sex appeal that everyone admires. I can't believe it's discontinued, I'm glad I still have two bottles left =).

Salvatore Ferragamo by Salvatore Ferragamo

In the beginning all I smell is pepper!!!! Pepper, pepper, pepper !!! The pepper smell lasts about ten minutes and then the green floral opens with the spiciness of wood and pepper. The green notes really pull through leaving a nice fresh scent (the green notes make this a very mild fragrance). I just love the way the notes change on my skin starting from the middle notes of pepper and florals, to the base notes of a woodsy/ spicy floral, to the top notes of a lovely green floral. The peony really stands out after 20-30 minutes and plays lovely with the Iris and the Rose (I personally do not like strong or harsh rose scents, the rose is very mild in this one). The florals finally pull through with the green leaves and a hint of musk leaving a beautiful clean floral scent. I cannot detect any almond notes in this even though it is listed above. I have had many compliments with this one. To me this is a sophisticated/ classy but very sexy fragrance....it's a keeper in my collection.
12 January 2009

Éclat d'Arpège by Lanvin

This is a light fresh floral fragrance. The opening has a floral/ citrus scent but that (thankfully) doesn't last long. The citrus fades and floral notes remain. The floral notes are airy and soft and blend together nicely (reminds me of the soft smell of a flower garden after the rain). After 30 minutes or so, notes of peony and green tea stand out. The green tea is light and inoffensive (sometimes I can't detect it at all). Sometimes I can smell a faint peach note before the base notes kick in. This is my favorite part of this fragrance...It smells so nice when the amber, cedar, and musk pull through the light floral notes...It is a classy fragrance that I choose time and time again.
10 January 2009

Romance by Ralph Lauren

It is a nice clean floral but it is an "oridinary" fragrance to me. Romance is a feminine fragrance but it is missing something...the notes stay the same and it is one demensional (at least on me). I wear it on occasion but it is not my first choice. It strong at first but doesn't last very long on my skin, about 20 minutes and then a very faint trail of the perfume remains. For me it's neutral because it's nice but nothing special.
07 January 2009

Curve Chill for Women by Liz Claiborne

This one my not be bad on others, but it definately doesn't work for my skin. There other Curve scents that I like better (Curve Kicks and Curve Crush). All I smell is the green tea and wood notes, too sharp for my nose. I think the green tea and ginger gives a sharp cloying note that just grows sharper with time (smells like a bug spray). It does soften up after 35 minutes to a nicer floral fragrance, but I can't stand smelling 35 minutes of bug spray. It may work for others...just not me.
04 January 2009

Curve Kicks for Women by Liz Claiborne

This smells wonderful considering it is a cheeper fragrance. A mix of vanilla sandalwood, peony, and mandarian with ints of muguet stand out on my skin. A beautiful soft and sweet combination, I prefer Curve Kicks over Curve Chill (a sharp floral on my skin and to my nose). I would wear this day or night. It is not cloying or harsh just a soft, playful, flirty fragrance.

My Voyage by Nautica

This was a blind purchase for me. I saw this tester on eBay and bought it because it was $20 (with $1 shipping) for a 3.4 oz bottle, I figured that I would give it to my sister if I didn't like it. I am glad I bought this because it is a very clean and very fresh scent. The blue juice looks like the ocean and the bottle kinda looks like a boat. It is a light crisp aquatic/ floral on me. The notes I smell are bergamont, peony, citrus/ lime, and amber. It is light, soft, and so refreshing. My Voyage reminds me of a crisp sea breeze on a warm summer's day. It is very casual, this could be worn with jeans and a t-shirt or to the office. I love the versatility of the perfume, it is nice for every day wear. Nautica's My Voyage for Her is amazing.

Cool Water Wave Woman by Davidoff

Very nice fragrance. On me when I first spray this, I smell a woodsy tobacco scent that lasts for about 15 minutes and has almost an earthy smell to it. With the initial sprays, I would say this fragrance could be unisex but then it settles into your skin becoming more feminine with nice floral notes. It is a clean, fresh, aquatic smell which is light and not overpowering. It does not smell fruity although I smell some watermellon in it (the florals stand out more). The notes I smell are freesia, peony, sandalwood, watermellon, and musk. There may even be a hint of amber in it? I think it is best suited for the day because it is not a sensual fragrance. The only down fall is the staying power doesn't last long, and it sits very close to the skin, but overall it's a nice scent.
03 January 2009

Japanese Cherry Blossom by Bath and Body Works

I love this fragrance...It is sexy, sensual, warm, and intriguing. On me it is a blend of luscious oriental/ woodsy florals. I can't get enough of this scent. The notes blend beautifully and it seems to last on me. It smells clean and is soft and light. The longevity stays consistent from beginning to end. It is spicy, exotic, and enchanting . I couldn't stop smelling my wrist after spraying this on myself...very interesting the way the middle and base notes come together...just lovely.

Mackie (new) by Bob Mackie

This perfume smells ok, it isn't a bad smell (it is wearable but it's just not my style). It is a warm woodsy scent with some sweetness. On me, I do not smell any of the fruit notes AT ALL. I recieved this as a Christmas gift and I am trying to sell it. If I can't sell it, I would wear this from time to time just to use it up. I would not repurchase this one. Who knows, maybe this on will grow on me if I continue to use it. As of now it is just a boring wearable fragrance, nothing special.
31 December 2008

Incanto Dream by Salvatore Ferragamo

Although Incanto Dream is a fruity/ floral, it smells completly different from Incanto Charms. It is softer than Charms but still has a fresh and clean smelling scent. I smell apple, musk, and a little bit of pineapple mixed with some peony and freesia (I do not smell the mango in it at all). This scent also reminds me of spring/ summer time but could be worn year round with no problem. It is definately a feminine fragrance that is a bit flirty. Dream is the perfect name for this fragrance because al the notes blend well together and smell somewhat dreamy...it is crisp and fresh and smells sooooo good. It lasts a long time on me but it remains close to the skin. I love the Incanto line and I enjoy wearing all of them.
30 December 2008

Incanto Charms by Salvatore Ferragamo

Very different from other scents...a floral/ fruity fragrance that smells clean and fresh. I think it is unique and find it invigorating. The beautiful scent lasts and stays the same on me all day. It is light and airy (not overpowering or heavy). The frutiness kinda reminds me of the summer months (perfect for warmer weather). I definately smell passion fruit and honeysuckle with hints of musk and maybe some jasmine? The notes blend together beautifully. It is sweet, but not candy sweet and has sparkling clean scent to it. I love this perfume and I get compliments everytime I wear it. To me, this is an amazing, special scent!
29 December 2008

Incanto by Salvatore Ferragamo

Incanto is a warm woodsy floral with a hint of fruit on me. I has a plesant smell and is somewhat sensual. This fragrance has a blend of pepper, peaches, sweet exotic florals, woods, amber and musk. The amber and musk really stand out on me when I wear it. It is a nice fragrance that lasts a long time. I usually wear this to work but there is something exotic about it so it can be worn at night. This is another wonderful fragrance from Salvatore Ferragamo (Incanto and Subtil being my two favorites).
21 December 2008

Dream Angels Halo by Victoria's Secret

In my opinion, it is not an unbearable scent, I find it simple and boring. It smells like a light candy note, I do not smell any notes listed above, just sweet light candy. This doesn't last long on me at all and I much prefer Divine and Desire in the Dream Angels line.
20 December 2008

Dream Angels Desire by Victoria's Secret

Desire is the latest edition to the Dream Angels line. It is sensuously soft, creamy, and smooth with notes of pink peony, freesia, plum, and frangipani. It is fruity floral that is feminine. I find that it is a nice classy fragrance but still casual (it can be dressed up or down). I would describe it as soft, clean, and slightly powdery.

Top notes: white star magnolia, living white freesia, ivy leaves.
Middle notes: frangipani, pink peony mist, yellow plum.
Low notes: angelique wood, crystal musk, angora accord.

I prefer Desire and Divine in the Dream Angels line over Halo and Heavenly (I don't care for Halo and Heavenly).
20 December 2008

Dream Angels Divine by Victoria's Secret

Divine is the perfect name for this fragrance....it is simply divine. It smells sexy and seductive but somewhat elegant. It is vibrant and light with notes of lotus flower and water lilly. This in my opinion, is one of the best smelling fragrances on the Dream Angels line, with the newest addition Desire being second. There is a warmthness that attracts me to this scent, there is something special about Divine that draws me to it.
20 December 2008

Pear Glacé by Victoria's Secret

I love the scent of fresh icy pears, and this works for me most the time. It smells like crisp fruity pears but can be overwhelming at times especially if a lot is applied. The only problem I have with Victoria Secrets splashes is that they don't last (of course they are not perfume) and they can sometimes be too strong and somewhat sickening.
20 December 2008

Amber Romance by Victoria's Secret

I was given the body splash Amber Romance as a gift. It smells warm and sensual but can sometimes be overpowering. I like this scent overall, but sometimes I can't stand to smell it. It smells like sweet lovely amber sometimes and it smells like cheap headachy generic spray other times. I give it neutral because it doesn't smell horrible every time I wear it, Amber Romance actually smells pleasant at times.
20 December 2008

DKNY Women by Donna Karan

This fragrance is quite unique as I have never smelled anything like this before. The actual smell of this perfume is very distinctive. From reading about this fragrance, the main scents in it are: Citrus, Orange, Tomato Leaf, Waterlilly, Green Coral Orchid, Vodka Tulip Tree, Daffodil, and White Birch. To me, it is a citrus fragrance (smells like lemons and oranges with a twist to me) with the twist coming from the tomato leaves. The tomato leaves mellow out the citrus but make an unusual addition to this fragrance (It doesn't smell like tomatoes at all, it kinda smells like lemon grass to me). I do not smell vodka at all in this one or any form of alcohol).

I didn't like DKNY at first because it was way too sharp for my taste, but after about 20-30 minutes the sharpness mellowed out to a nice clean, fresh and kinda sweet, somewhat feminine scent. This fragrance is not sexy or sensual. It is a clean zesty citrus scent that could very well be unisex. This is a nice fragrance that reminds me of Summer and seems suited for warm weather. I live in Florida, perfect Summer weather (hot and humid) almost year round, but personally I would not wear this everyday. I actually prefer this one at night (I think it's a little too strong for the day). It's not exactly subtle! Maybe that's just me? This lasts throught the night although you may want to refresh it, especially if you like the really fruity top notes. I quite like it once it has a chance to mellow out and the feminine qualities kick in.

Cool Water Woman Frozen by Davidoff

The cool water I have is called "Freeze Me" not Frozen. Freeze Me is a limited edition fragrance that launched in April 2008. The bottle looks like an iceberg surrounded by water. According to what I have read it is a cool aquatic fragrance that features pineapple, mint, sea accord, violet, magnolia, lily of the valley, summer jasmine, sandalwood, iris, peach, amber, and musk. I can not detect the pineapple but I do smell a slight hint of mint and amber with flowers and musk. Freeze Me is sparkling, cooling, & alluring. The notes blend together perfectly for a clean, fresh, crisp scent. It is soft and light, perfect for daytime use. I also feel quite refreshed when I wear this. If you like aquatic clean scents, give this one a try.
20 December 2008

Subtil by Salvatore Ferragamo

I loved Subtil as soon as I smelled it. The red twisted bottle is very attractive and elegant. This is a light feminine fragrance that smells like sweet flowers (It's not too flowery or too sweet, just the perfect amount). It is fresh but elegant, lushious, and luxirous. It is somewhant sexy and it has the strength to linger after the person that wears it has left (it's not an obnixious scent, it's a plesant scent that I enjoy smelling over and over). Lily of the valley and tulip with it`s fresh and bitter undertones soften this celebration of fruit and flowers. It dries down with a nice musk that still has the sweetness of jasmine in it. It lasts all day on me all but it is never too strong or overpowering. I grab this one regularly, Subtil definately is not a sleeper in my collection.
18 December 2008

Vintage Soul by Curve by Liz Claiborne

Some might say that this is unisex, but to me it smells more like a men's fragrance than a women's fragrance. This smell like men's cologn on me. When I first sprayed Vintage Soul, it smelled like pure pine which lasted for about 20-40 minutes (I felt like I was walking through a field of Christmas trees or if I had sprayed pine on myself). It has a strong patchouli base maybe that is why is smells like men's cologn? A hint of sweetness came after that and the sweetness mixed with the pine scent (not my type of perfume). At the very end, the pine faded and it smelled more feminine with hints of vanilla and citrusy fruits. It's not a bad scent but it does smell like it is better suited for a man thats why it is neutral for me.
18 December 2008

Burberry the Beat by Burberry

What a wonderful scent! When I first sprayed it, I smelled peppermint. Then it dried down to a warm, rich, lovely scent that had a hint of sweetness. The notes that stand out to me are musk and bergamot (i can not pinpoint what gives it the hint of sweetness). On me. "The Beat" remained consistent throught the day, there were no changes from the base, middle, or top notes.

It is playful but sophisticated and it smells like pure luxury. The bottle is unique and so is this scent. This is a scent can be worn everyday to the office or on a special occasion. I think that women of all ages could pull this one off, just as long as it mixes well with their chemistry. This is another great scent from Burberry.
17 December 2008

Curious by Britney Spears

Surprisingly, I like this scent. I really don't like buying celebrity endorsed perfumes, but I bought this one. This was sprayed on my arm at the mall and I really liked it. After sniffing for 20 minutes, I went back to the counter to find out what is was (shocked to find out it was Curious). It is a floral that has a crisp, clean, and fresh scent. It is light and not overpowering. Very pretty scent overall. The bottle was cute and I liked the scent so I bought it (I shocked myself). The only negative is that the staying power isn't very long, it lasts about an hour or two the most.
15 December 2008

Fantasy by Britney Spears

This bottle is really cute (pink bottle and rhinestones), but that is about it! This is WAY TOO sweet for me! It's like wearing pure candy (cotton candy to be exact). The bottle is elegant, but the scent is juvenile. It would be appropriate for preteens, but not grown women, then again, should I be surprised? I suppose the scent caters toward the Spears' followers, 12-17 year olds. I prefer Curious, which smells youthful and light, Fantasy smells like you just took a bath in sugar...yuck!
15 December 2008

Nude by Bill Blass

At first I didn't like nude AT ALL!!!! I thought it was harsh, chemical, cheap, and very unfamiliar, but something about it enticed me and made me continue to sniff my arm after the dry down. I was persistent and kept trying it on different days (for a period of about a year). I continued to smell myself and kinda developed a love/ hate relationship with Nude. Now after several years of using it, I have to admit that I love this fragrance now. It is a one of a kind unique fragrance, that is very powerful when first sprayed (spray lightly, too much will overdo it). It is very chemical/ acryllic at the very beginning and dries down to a consistent note (I can't quite explain it) with a powedery undertone. It is a simple fragrance that is very complex at the same time. The notes remain consistent through out and it is long lasting and talk about amazing sillage. If you like the smell of patchouli, you might like this very much. It doesn't smell like patchouli, but it is one of those scents that is unique. Very clean. Not flowery. Not musky. Noy woodsy. Not aquatic. It does catch attention because everyone always asks what is that you are wearing, especially men! It's sometimes funny to tell them "Nude" because of their reaction from the name. It is unique, captivating, and seductive which is why I love it so......I would recommend that you sample this first before buying because it may not be for everyone (even though everyone else said I smelled good when I wore this, it took me several years to like it.)
14 December 2008

Cool Water by Davidoff

Coming from a females point of view...I love the way this smells, in the bottle and on a man's skin. It is a very popular fragrance, but that is because it smells soooo good (at least I think it does). For some reason I find this scent irresistible on a man, eventhough I don't know exactly what it is that makes it irresistable...maybe it's the way all of the notes blend beautifully together...It is clean and aquatic. I just love to smell it!
13 December 2008

Haiku by Avon

My grandma wears this and I mean a lot of it!!! It is very strong and overpowering. It is too flowery and I get headaches when I am around her. I don't know if it is her chemistry or if she applies too much, but smelling it on her made me want to stay at least 10 feet away from this stuff. Yuck!!! Sorry 2 give the first negative but it makes me want to leave the room when I smell this. I don't like it (at least the way it smells on her) and I won't even attempt to try it on me.
