White Shoulders by Elizabeth Arden
I'll just put this out there - this is the one scent that has absolutely floored me. A date wore this and I couldn't get enough. I know a lot of women (my wife for instance) think this is something "grandma wore." Maybe they're right. But if that's the case, grandma knew something their granddaughters don't.
Like a Life magazine photo spread of post War New York in autumn or a Sarah Vaughan album, this scent may be outmoded. I may be as well. I couldn't care less. They don't make them like this, nor the women who wear it.

Clubman by Pinaud
Clubman is a classic US barbership product. If you've ever left an traditional barbershop after having the back of your neck brushed with a talc that gave you a fresh, distinct smell, it's almost certainly Clubman talc. This AS is the same scent. It just proves that you don't have to spend a lot to smell fantastic. I think this can be had online for about $7 for a bottle that will last you a year.
