Dolce & Gabbana pour Homme by Dolce & Gabbana

What an interesting fragrance this is!! Elegance and masculinity in a bottle. I learned not to be quick on the trigger with it. All you need is a slight application. Over-applying it will cause the opposite effect. I think it's just perfect when dressing up and when you want to capture the chics attention in your good taste. Outstanding dry down. Good sillage. Use it, don't abuse it!! Suave, man, suave...!!

Caron Pour Un Homme by Caron

This is the scent that taught me a lesson I will never forget: Never think someone else's experience with a fragrance is applicable to you. To me, unfortunately, this fragrance is the only fragrance I hate. It's cloying, overly sweet and decadent. If wore in my office, my boss will fire me on the spot. The odor is offensive and vomitive. My wife found it a terrible scent. I bought it spoiled with its many positive reviews just to find out it became my worst experience ever with any scent. Lesson learned. Since then, I buy samples and try out decants before I go for the purchase. The frac is available for free to anyone, if the postage is paid.

Eau Sauvage by Christian Dior

Not sure if I shared my opinion with this forum about Eau Sauvage by CD. If I did, then excuse me. If I didn't, here it goes: Not my cup of tea, dude!. There is a note, present from the very top notes to the drydown that really puts me off. I found better choices out there...

Allure Homme by Chanel

Allure for men is a Masterpiece. Sofisticated, sensual and exquisite. It does not scream or yell at your companion. Instead, it speaks gently and softly to the nose. The drydown is one of the best "politically correct" drydowns in the market, according to my PH and my type of skin. One of my top 5 fragrances, that I can use when dressing up or down, day or night, winter or summer. A true winner from Channel.

Bulgari pour Homme by Bulgari

This is a "Copy and Paste" of a review from a member (Foetidus) that I think it's right on it. Seldom reviews are so well written with such a well defined thought process:
"I have discovered its cryptic qualities. Initially hard for me to believe, Bulgari Pour Homme does have a definite presence as well as good longevity. It stays very close to the skin so its notes are not being broadcast, but what notes! Warmth, subtly, and elegance: Bvlgari’s signature tea note dominates the opening in concert with citruses, blackcurrent, and florals in a smooth, delicate but masculine blend. The mid notes waft in with spices, more florals, and woods. The movement is completed with an excellent, subtle base of musk, tonka and wood. How beautiful this one is—restrained, elegant, smooth. Bvlgari Pour Homme is a modern kind of scent that will quite soon be the very definition of 'classic.'"
Foetidus, thank you! Nothing else can be said, man~! Two thumbs up to Bvlgari PH and to the reviewer.

Oliban by Keiko Mecheri

Oliban features a very elegant and classy opening. The dry down is so delicate it's almost a feminine statement. A Masterpiece of a fragrance with limited sillage. It begins with a delicate burst of leather and tobacco accents leading to an enticing floral drydown. There is an almost imperceptible frankincense note throughout. Can be worn in a business environment as much as casual settings. For a date, certainly a killer (in its good sense, of course! :-) Two thumbs up!

Drakkar Noir by Guy Laroche

I must be the only one who does not like this fragrance at all... It reminds me the scent of old barber shops. An outdated fragrance I would be embarrased to wear or recommend. Too strong for me and sticks to the skin like a sealant.

Acqua di Biella No. 1 by Acqua di Biella

I really liked the initial burst of mint, bergamot and lavender. Very masculine, classy and discrete. Ideal for office wear. Unfortunately, it only lasted a few seconds on me and the many repeat applications made it a very, very expensive choice for a fragance. Sorry, I pass...!

212 Men by Carolina Herrera

"..."I'm amazed at the positive reviews and popularity of this cologne... This is a VERY effeminate scent; the flower notes seem to dominate in a sickening, allergy provoking way."

DITTO!

Gucci pour Homme by Gucci

This garbage smelled way too sweet for my taste. It was just repulsive, to the point of nauseas and it grabbed itself to my skin with fiery intensity. I tried to get rid off it and had to scrub it with scouring pad and Dawn Ultra Concentrated. It lasts forever. Try it before you buy. You may end up losing your money. Terrible stuff for my type of skin and my nose.
