White Patchouli by Tom Ford
piercing peony smell, captivating and fresh at the same time, with a woody ambery base vained by a dirty vibe (maybe the ambrette?). sillage is ok and lasting power is good. if you dig peony smell this is a quite real peony juice to go for.

West Broadway by Bond No. 9
sparkling opening of lime, more green that citrussy is spiced up by maybe just a touch of pepper giving a pleasant twist. Then to my skin it opens on a heart of white lily (and not lily of the valley) with incense touches slightly reminescent even of passage d'enfer deepened by the mate base. Then the lily clams down a bit even if still remains present and the drydown has a smooth, slightly smoky vibe. One of the noteworthy Bonds

Kisu by Tann Rokka
First time I smelled Kisu I've been astonished by how a theoretically woody oriental can have an almost marine drydown. There's something magnetic and beautiful in it, like Hokusay sea paintings! The scent has a deep oriental woody spicy heart of Ylang-Ylang and intoxicating rosewood blended with cedarwood and musk, but it doesn't turn sour or cloying and heavy, it doesn't loose into lasciviousness dwelling upon a zen unisex sensuousness(even if marketed for women it's definitely unisex to me). It takes a deep breath instead, loaded with a fresh, almost marine trail of ambergris like a salty seamist surrounding you and taking you along the coasts of Japan.

Eucris by Geo F Trumper
After having tested GFT and Sandalwood cologne, which actually hadn't catch my attention, this was quite a nice surprise. Starting with a booze blast of green and citrus notes, it reveals the eucris heart note: hearty but chipre, floral yet dry. It dries down to a very manly scent remembering old books with dried bitter herbs inside, drenched in extra aged cuban rhum. It has something classy yet coarse that well fit a man. Definitely not for the boys.

Eau Sauvage by Christian Dior
Eau Sauvage is a crisp citrus that starts slightly stingy of rosemary needles and has a good projection. But it quickly turns sweeter thanks to basil which confers a green sweet edge. Here the citrus becomes round but still ethereal though its projection fades and vetiver appeads in the drydown as a whisper under the lemontrees. This timeless scent has class but it is not particulary masculine and lacks of staying power.

YSL pour Homme by Yves Saint Laurent
YSL pour homme opens with a rush of sparkling crisp pure citrus but it's more earthy than and ethereal breeze; this lemony runrise coming true turns in a deep full-bodied citrus adorned by blazes of thyme that makes it sligtly bitter conferring a mature and masculine aura. At this point vetiver starts to play not as a whisper but with his bass voice giving staying power and a natural raw charme. Better staying power and masculine feeling. The only flaw is that it is a little too son of his times since it has a detectable 70' appeal.

Envy for Men by Gucci
Envy is a unique feeling, because everyone feels it but noboby is brave enough to admit it!
So this is a scent for the brave men, not for the shy! I've worn it for about two years during my campus days and got always compliments, specially from girls!
I like very much the spicy opening rush through which appears the lustful ylang-ylang, incense and patchouli heart: now you're in the eye of the storm and heads turn around guessing who smells so damn' sexy!
Then the storm turns into a warm wind lingering on your skin, leaving an everlasting deep masculine cedarwood note embossed by animal hints of musk and a balsamic touch of opoponax.
Also the package is essencial but precious, modern but classy; it seems to be done to perfectly fit a man's hand and the green-black color matching it's really intriguing and emphasises the juice.

Fumerie Turque by Serge Lutens Les Salons du Palais Royal Shiseido
Night is falling down at Topkapi and a hot wind keeps jasmine sweetness from far. Lustful dancers scented like Damask's roses rotate their hands in the air as the thick smoke rises. Tobacco, fruits and spices are offered to let you slide in this empire of senses.

L'Homme de Coeur by Divine
I've tested it on the tanned skin in St. Malo and found it very nice and quite long lasting, very suited in the crisp breeze of Britain climate. It's curious that his creator in person sprayed it on my wrist!
He told to me it's a composition dedicated to the man in love; a blend of angelica, juniper, lavender, bergamot, cypress, IRIS, violet leaves, liatrix, ambergris, vetiver and musk.

Tam Dao by Diptyque
Tam Dao starts titilling you with crisp notes but it stings a little bit to give you more long lasting pleasure after, drifing you out to the Gange's sides covered by sandal woods where white dressed Indi pilgrims pray walking through burning ritual stack of sandalwood.
In a word spiritual harmony!

Versus Uomo by Versace
It was the smell of my teenage! when it was launched I bought it immediately and loved this wonderful fruity mango note with a semi-oriental drydown with an absolutely theatral modernity and a sense of youth and sexiness a contemporary boy never had before! I owned also the shaving foam. Moreover girls seemed to like it much at that time!!!

parfums*PARFUMS Series 1 Leaves: Tea by Comme des Garçons
Usually thinking at CDG scents as quite "vinylish", I was astonished discovering Tea! It's like being in a beautiful, fragrant indian palace sitting in front of the Marahani who offers you a smoking cup of black, strong tea while her servants scatter rose petals around you!

L'Eau d'Hiver by Editions de Parfums Frederic Malle
Wonderful! Starting fresh and transparent with the iris and white heliotrope notes, then dries down with an unexpected warm touch of angelica honey and white musk that never stops. Unexpectedly sexy and very elegant!

Must de Cartier pour Homme by Cartier
Very long lasting to me. Starting with fresh fruity-spicy notes, then dries down with warm notes that reminds me cinnamom and amber, very pleasant! Classy women adore it, try!
