Ma Griffe by Carven

A long lost giant in perfumery. A real classic. A perfume for all seasons. Green but exotic aswell. Has a complexity which can catch ones interest in solving!

Arpège by Lanvin

One of my all time favourites. Warm and sophisticated. It's just like being wrapped in cashmere. Perfect on a cold evening, in front of the fire. Floral, spicy, powdery. Lasts very well. An all time classic. Wonderful.

L'Heure Bleue by Guerlain

One of my all time favourites. Indescribable and enigmatic. Personally I can't pinpoint the ingredients; they merge into a swirling, mysterious ambiguity. This is a perfume to form a complex relationship with!! Beautiful.

Demi-Jour by Dana

Demi Jour is a delightful powdery - floral fragrance. There is a fresh edge to it when first put on, then it dries down to the lovely warm powdery element. It is such a shame how Houbigant declined as a company; they were once at the pinnacle of perfumery and made great fragrances decade after decade. Very sad.

Philtre d'Amour by Guerlain

This perfume is absolutely divine. Although there are citrus ingredients it is incredibly warm and deep, due to the neroli and patchouli.
I would say woody, slight spicy, with sensual floral tones. Fantastic.

L'Origan by Coty

I own a small vintage bottle of L'Origan Parfum. It is lovely. I don't use it, just smell it for pleasure; wouldn't want to use it up! Smells a little like L'Heure Bleue (I believe L'Heure Bleue was partly inspired by L'Origan.)

Vent Vert (new) by Pierre Balmain

This is a wonderful perfume. It is green and refreshing. The drydown is great because it remains green but with a lovely powdery-soft element. Can be worn all year round; refreshing in the summer; and in winter it gives you the invigorating green smell we often crave in the winter months along with the soft-warm drydown. Perfect.

Les Météorites by Guerlain

Beautiful fragrance. Very nostalgic; reminds me of the old fashioned powdery-violet perfumes. Long-lasting in a subtle way.

Eau Vive by Carven

Nice, fresh fragrance. Citrus top note, with juniper and cilantro. Dry down is more mellow and powdery. Sadly, hard to find.
