Herrera for Men Sensual Vetiver by Carolina Herrera

i love and fondly revisit the original herrera, but my body chemistry has changed and it smells sour after drying down, this one the Vetiver keeps it much dryer and richer A+

Herrera for Men Refreshing Ginger by Carolina Herrera

totally agree that its difficult to distinguish from the original, nit a bad thing. beautiful, maybe slightly less "sharp"

10 Corso Como by 10 Corso Como

I really love this one, cardboard, carmex gasoline, call it what you will its an original. sandalwood oud geranium vetiver rose, what a blend. reminds a little of rose d'homme from parfums de rosine

M7 by Yves Saint Laurent

too camphorous/mentholly, resulting in a very "cold" fragrance. unique but weird, reminiscent of Guerlains habit rogue. great ad campaign though, too bad its vicks vapo rub in a bottle;. want great agarwood, pick up 10 corso como

Very Irrésistible for Men by Givenchy

love this, nutty chocolatey, earthy yet fresh. gorgeous bottle that looks like a tourmaline crystal

Hermèssence Poivre Samarcande by Hermès

incrdible, reminds a lot of the Commes des Garcons incence line in concept, execution and result...totally agree with the other reviews...soft smoldering sophisticated but crazy to spend 180+ on anything less than a perfume in a crystal flacon. doesnt even include Hermes Leather case, for that price it should

Dior Homme by Christian Dior

my new love, every inch the masculine iris ive beeen looking for. tried MPG's iris bleu gris, which was good, but came away as too grey flannelly, mossy and dry. ditto creeds green irish tweed, which was actually unwearbly bad. i love this new dior because i feel its watershed moment for mens scent, a new direction. soft sweet dry leathery & medicinal. cocoa, leather & iris. phenomenal packaging too BRAVO Hedi Slimane! WOW WOW WOW

Route du Vétiver by Maître Parfumeur et Gantier

wanted to like it, tried so hard and gave it so many times...never got over the burned rubber or plastic and pickle brine effect. there is a persistant note of earth and smoke...or perhaps its body chemistry...

Eau des Îles by Maître Parfumeur et Gantier

Thought this one was strange at first, but then, as the finer things that are acquired tastes often do, it grew on me. Coffee, chocolate what else...philosophically could be from the Comptoir Sud Pacifique mens line but exhibits all the characteristic depth & refinement of an MPG classic. Le choix du Les Exotiques!

Mouchoir de Monsieur by Guerlain

One of 3 mens Guerlains I use including Eau Imperiale & L'Instant. Of the 19th century if technically 5 years shy; warm, soft, comfortable and mature. So appropriatly named as it smells just like a clean handkerchief (perhaps pocket square is more apt)

Santal Noble by Maître Parfumeur et Gantier

Incredible. I actually keep getting up to stick my nose in the bottle even though I'm wearing it and have had it for months. Dry and warm, with coffee and vanilla present as well. Think of MPG's Santal Noble as the ambery wood and their Ambre precieux as the woodsy amber

Ambre Précieux by Maître Parfumeur et Gantier

Incredible. I actually keep getting up to stick my nose in the bottle even though I'm wearing it and have had it for months. A touch feminine and very soft, but woodsy as well. Think of MPG's Santal Noble as the ambery wood and this as the woodsy amber

Havana by Aramis

The true star of the aramis line up, dont understand why JHL is so revered. Silky smooth deep & heavy but can be played down with sensible application. Rum & tobacco never smelled so good. one of my top 3. phenomenal

Basala / Basara by Shiseido

one of 3 all time favorites. profound, sharp almost smokey. truly original which is difficult to say these days of endless eau de dept store. cedar and amber perhaps?
in the same corner as dolce gabana, yohji and bel ami but better. an elusive stunner

Bulgari pour Homme Extreme by Bulgari

one of 3 all time favorites; less powdery/more resinous and woody than the original. a central pine like note resinates through drydown to finish. clean, original class act, in a word; phenomenal
