    Jaïpur Homme by Boucheron

It boggles the mind why people like this. To my nose this is a tacky, obnoxious and loud interpretation of Shalimar....do yourself a favor and get that instead, it´s infinitely better.

    L'Homme by Yves Saint Laurent

This is a better and lighter version of Dolce & Gabanna's Pour Homme. A pretty dull fragrance for a house that made some of the most interesting fragrances around...

This fragrance reminded me of the donkey stables of the local zoo the first time i tried it...how could anyone wear this, i wondered. But somehow this fragrance intrigued me, sampled it again and hated it even more but i found myself sampeling it again and again...i just couldn't stop smelling it. I guess this is an aquired taste because now i just love it for it's sheer weirdness, great sillage and projection. Highly recommended.

    Cool Water Woman by Davidoff

For boring and generic women who are afraid to stand out. There's such an offensive note in this, it makes me physically sick....yuck!

for the drydown on this beautifull fragrance. Just like Yatagan the opening can be a little overpowering, but after 15 minutes things take a turn. I get a sweet, smokey rose getting sweeter and sweeter. I can smell the resemblance to Egoiste....but Egoiste is a little bit too bitter for my tastes.

    Yatagan by Caron

If you are, like me, pretty tired of all the aquatic/floriental sweet and "nice" fragrances they make these days, and you want something with balls, a real powerhouse, something eccentric, look no further, this is it.

In my quest for eccentric fragrances i have encounterd many a great scent, Antaeus, Quorum, Tsar, Nobile but Yatagan is my personal favorite. Gunpowder, celery, the smell of wet dogs, chickensoup, pineneedles, curry...it's all there. The opening can be pretty strong with lots of pineneedle but the drydown is rather calm and classy. There's no sweetness here and this is by far the driest scent i have ever smelled.
