Tabac Original by Mäurer & Wirtz
This review is for Tabac Eau de Cologne. Brooklynlou is abdolutely right. In the beginning fir a few minutes it smells really bad. However in a matter of minutes it turns out a soapy and clean. Its a very pleasent smell that lats only for about 3-4 hours, unless you come very close to the skin and smell it.
And yes I agree with foetidus "Tabac puts so many expensive fragrances to shame".

Rive Gauche pour Homme by Yves Saint Laurent
Its a very 'earthy' fragrance, not particulary strong, but longlasting and classy... It also reminds me of "Brut" but in a more powdery version... I have no idea where the shampoo-soap comments came from, its certainly not "cheap" but very classy indeed!

L'Eau Bleue D'Issey pour Homme by Issey Miyake
Being a fan of the EdIPH, I was not very keen in trying this also, but when I did I was pleasantly surprised! Its not as limey as Eau D'Issey PH but comes out very clean and fresh! Its good both for work and for pleasure!

L'Eau D'Issey pour Homme by Issey Miyake
Fresh, Lemony, and women love it! Its crisp and I especially like the After Shave splash as well. I think its a great fragrance and probably my all time favourite (along with Kouros)!

I actually had a girlfriend who wore the eau de parfum, and so i tried the PH version... It is strong allright, women notice it from distance, and I like it a lot...

Jaïpur Homme by Boucheron
A great fragrance, I bought it in Paris airport at the suggestion of a beautiful blonde French sales Lady and I haven't regretted it... Powdery clean, and spicey!
Very nice indeed!

Kouros by Yves Saint Laurent
A favourite of mine since my student years. Maybe more suitable for over 30 but I loved the smell then and I still do now... Its woody and strong all right, masculine and strong...
A great fragrance!

Habit Rouge by Guerlain
A very nise scent, I have tried it on me and I plan to buy it soon. Its very powdery and -I hope you will allow me the metaphor- imho smells like a classy refined Old Spice should smell like.... I know some people will chill with this comparison, but it reminds me alot of it...
In any case I think its not as strong in the drydown, I would excpect it to last a little bit longer, but a great scent in any case...

Vetiver by Guerlain
Hello all, my first review here although I visit reguraly this site for 2 years and have tried many fragrances based on what I read here. one of them was Vetiver. After reading so many good reviews I tried it on a duty-free airport shop and I liked it a lot... I don't know what the original smelt like, but this one is very good. I excpected it to be more crisp, but I think its great anyway! Its longlasting and its drydown brings out the tobacco, which as a non smoker I dont mind at all...
I usually wear it at work, although it can be easily worn on evening-formal occasions...
